KEYSTONEPACING GUIDEThe Pacing Guide is located within each of your Brightspace courses. The PacingGuide is available to assist you in creating a daily plan to follow to know how muchwork you need to do to complete your courses by your goal end date, including breaksyou plan on taking. View the directions below on how to utilize the Pacing Guide!

How to use the...

In the course that you would like to create a Pacing Guide for, first select the'Content' tab in the top course navigation bar.

Within the Content tab, select the 'Course Materials' section from the left-handnavigation bar.

From here, choose the 'Pacing Guide' hyperlink. It will then download andprompt you to open an Excel spreadsheet. Follow your downloaddirections within your browser.

Within the 'Course Materials' section, select the 'Student Resources' unit.

Once you have opened the downloaded 'Pacing Guide' Excel spreadsheet,follow the directions as listed. Make sure you are on the bottom tabmarked 'Part 1 Enter Planning Dates' before beginning. For Step 1, put thestart date of your school year. This can be your Keystone enrollment date orthe date you actually plan on beginning your courses.

For Step 3, enter all dates that you plan on taking off from school throughout theweek. You can put a description of why you are taking off, if you would like.

In Step 2, enter the date of the Monday that comes before your start date. Forexample, if your start date is Wednesday, March 3rd, the Monday before would beMonday, March 1st.

Once completing Step 3, scroll down until you encounter Step 4. Here you will putyour end date - when you want to be completed with the full course. This can beyour one year due date provided by Keystone or a goal end date that you have setfor yourself.

The 'Calendar' tab will show a daily schedule detailing what units, readings, andgraded assignments you must complete each day and each week to complete yourcourse by your goal end date, not including the days that you would like to take off.

Once you have input all of the dates as you would like, go to the bottom of yourscreen and select the tab that says 'Calendar'.
