– Network Connections.» Used to modify NICs and network connections.

– Printers and Faxes.» Used to add or modify printers and their drivers.

– Automatic Updates.» Used to modify the behavior of automatic updates.

– Network Setup Wizard.» Walks the user through the steps to set up a SOHO

network.

– Tablet PC Settings.» Used for tablets; handwriting recognition can be set here.

– Pen and Input Devices.» Used to set stylus and other input device behavior for

touch enabled devices.

– Offline Files.» Enables a hosted file to be kept locally; also establishes

sync behavior.

– Problem Reports and Solutions.» Checks for solutions to known PC problems and sends

reports.

– Printers.» Same functions as Printers and Faxes utility in XP.

– HomeGroup.» Simpler method for sharing printer, files, photos, etc.

Only Windows 7 and newer can join.

– Action Center.» Monitors key security settings; also includes additional

alerts that the user may want to investigate.

• Similar to Security Center in XP and Vista.

– Remote Application and Desktop

Connection.» Establishes and manages quick links to remote

applications or desktops.

– Troubleshooting.» Contains several other applets that can be used to

troubleshoot PC problems.
