ROB EDWARDS, ARIZONA STATER-Junior, 6-0, G, Detroit, Mich.

• ARIZONA STATE redshirt junior Rob Edwards collects his first Pac-12 Player of the Week award of his career as voted on by media who cover the league.

• Edwards, who missed six games early due to injury and was held scoreless in his first two contests back from injury, returned to form to average 14.5 points on 50 percent shooting (9-18) including 56 percent from deep (5-9) in 26.0 minutes off the bench to help ASU to a 1-1 week highlighted by a victory over No. 1 Kansas on Saturday.

u The 2018 NBA Eastern and Western Conference Finals series between Cleveland and Boston, and Golden State and Houston, featured 12 former Pac-12 standouts, the most of any league.

u For the third straight year, the Pac-12 also led the way in the NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and champion Golden State Warriors.

u Seven former Pac-12 men’s basketball stand-outs were selected in the 2018 NBA Draft, includ-ing the No. 1 overall selection in ARIZONA’s Dean-dre Ayton. It marked the first time in Conference history the league has had the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft in back-to-back years.

Ayton was the No. 1 overall selection by the Phoe-nix Suns, joining WASHINGTON’s Markelle Fultz in 2018 and UCLA’s Bill Walton in 1974 and Lew Al-cindor (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) in 1969 as top picks from Conference members. UTAH’s Andrew Bogut (2005) and Bill McGill (1962) were No. 1 picks prior to the Utes joining the Pac-12.

u The seven selections coupled with the 14 picks from last year’s Draft matched the league’s two-year record total of 21 set in 2008-09.

u Over the past six Drafts, the Pac-12 has amassed 49 picks overall and 26 first-round selections, totals which rank second nationally behind the 15-team ACC (62, 36).
