Outreach and Volunteering is our way to provide community involvement, employment, partnerships and new relationships.

As part of our Community Outreach Program here at the CI PA Day Program, our individuals volunteer at local Wawa Stores and Manna in Philadelphia to deliver meals to residents and local shelters. In addition we have a group that volunteers at City Team in Chester assisting with

various duties.

Our Community Outreach continues to grow and is a great way for our program to give back to our community! This is just one of the many ways the individuals and staff at the Day Program have been getting out into the community and lending a hand to those in need.

We are always looking for new Community Outreach Opportunities and would love to hear from you.

Please contact the PA Day Program at 610.544.0200 for more information.

Community Interactions values its volunteers. They’re one of our greatest resources in

furthering the CI mission: Your Life…Your Choice…Our Mission. CI is always in need of

ACTIVITIES OFFERED INSIDE THE PA DAY PROGRAM

In addition to working and exploring out in the community, we also offer a number of in-

house activities at the PA Day Program which allows us to take advantage of our beautiful

facility. Call us Today to schedule a tour!!!

Our state of the art computer

lab is always open to the

individuals attending the day

program and, after a productive

day in the community, they are often found there viewing YouTube videos or

chilling out to music.

Each week on Wednesday mornings, a structured computer activity is

offered, giving our folks an opportunity to learn new skills and participate in

the creation of this newsletter.

Individuals are taught to use the applications in the Microsoft Office Suite

including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Publisher. They create essays for

the newsletter, work with photos and clip art, use Google Chrome to

conduct research on the internet (including recipes for our cooking

activities) and much more.

Pictured here are Clarence, Mark, John M. and DeBerry, working hard on their essays.

The art class meets every Thursday inside the Day Program and each week a different

activity is offered. Our folks work independently or in teams to create the beautiful

artwork on display throughout the building.

Lately we have been working on sprucing up the place by decorating the ceiling tiles.

Here are some pictures of our folks working as a team and having fun with pastels. We

think that social media icons will be appropriate in the computer lab.

Computer and Art activities are provided by sillynut.com

Pictured here are Delia, Bobby, Lonnie, Deanna and John working together on the various social media icons. Great Job !!!
