Ingredients 15ml gelatine250ml yoghurt or buttermilk45ml water90ml Annique Rooibos Lifestyle Shake (vanilla flavour)250ml cream45ml sweetener like Xylitol250ml full cream milkA few sprigs of mint for garnishing

Method• Sprinkle the gelatine over the water and leave to sponge.• Heat in the microwave until melted – do not allow to boil.• Mix the cream, milk, yoghurt or buttermilk and Lifestyle

When a Leader offers feedback, it can accomplish three things: show appreciation for a certain behaviour, evaluate actions, and offer coaching and development.

Newcomers to the business need basic, step-by-step instructions that will move them along on their journey to the next milestone. This is even more important considering that most people joining a direct selling company may have little or no sales experience. Telling them exactly what to do, and when, can help instil a sense of confidence.

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day we spoke to a few Annique Consultants who have teamed up with their husbands and partners to get the most out of their business.

Annalize and Fanie du PlessisI joined Annique in 1992. With no kids in the house, it is easy to get lost in work, but we make sure to have a date night at least once a month and try to have a coffee date on Fridays. We make sure that we book long weekends far in advance to make time for our family.

Fanie will help with the organizing of functions (doing the heavy lifting) but he is also a very creative marketer. Fanie is in every way my biggest supporter. The area that I work in is very widely spread and I sometimes drive up to 2 000km a month. My biggest present is when he takes time off to drive with me. That is the best time to make plans and find creative ways to run my business.

Power Couples

Lara and Shane WilsonI joined Annique in April 2010. My husband, Shane, and I are really blessed to have many shared interests, which means we get to do a lot, if not most things, together.

I think, because we take an interest in each other’s work and hobbies, we often discuss ideas and also learn from one another. The aspect of encouragement is given/received to each other in what we do.

Shane always attends our local Annique functions voluntarily. He helps out with all the

IT stuff like the Power Points, sound, etc. where needed, and fits in so well as he is often the only

male amongst the ladies. He is also a good sport and if there is a theme, he will play along. Shane has

always encouraged me and supported me in living my dreams and helping me to reach my potential, which I may

not have pursued, had he not encouraged me.

Our favourite products are from the Resque range. We are never without Resque Crème, ZeroAche+ or Resque Mist.

Fanie is the core of who I am. Like Yin and

Yang. We always bring out the best in each other. Even in my imagination there is no place I can think of that he is not a

part of.

God has indeed blessed me in many ways by giving me

Herculine Stander and Eric de SpotI joined Annique on 1 May 1982. Being a left brain and a right

brain living together, Eric and I see each aspect of the business in a different way. By talking and exchanging ideas, we learn from each other’s experiences in life and business. Obviously sometimes we argue and fight to defend our opinion, but we listen to each other’s approach to a problem.

Eric does all the practical aspects of the business; this gives me time to concentrate on my Consultants. I know that if one of our Consultants needs little things, like business cards, a magnet for the car, banners or even sound and projection

for an Annique function, Eric has the facility and knowledge to sort the problem out. He also takes care of the Enterprise

Portal training for new Consultants and answers portal questions for other Consultants even outside our downline. When I am not

there, he will help Consultants and answers their questions. Despite our busy schedule, he is preparing a series of training courses on each product and other aspects of the Annique business. Like he says, “knowledge is everything”, the Consultant must feel comfortable with the products and be able to answer a customer immediately on any related health and beauty product we sell.

Nontembelo Kukuma and Luyanda Jam-JamBoth my husband and I joined Annique in August 2017. We got to know each other much better through working together in our Annique business. We no longer have financial stress in our marriage and are lucky enough to give our children a happy life.

Luyanda helps carrying the bags when we sell door-to-door and he always explains things that I find difficult to understand with such patience.

For the past nine years, with Eric in my life, I

would like to thank him for his valuable support

in my life and our business. But remember: “Eric, I am the Annique

Consultant, listen to me!”

Luyanda, keep up the good work. If God gave me another chance to choose a husband, I would choose you again. You are the most supportive and responsible life partner. Thank you for

Myth: YOU SHOULDN’T USE MOISTURISER IF YOU HAVE OILY SKIN OR ACNE BECAUSE IT ONLY ADDS TO THE PROBLEMThe Truth: When you wash with harsh cleansers and don’t moisturise, your skin begins to overproduce oil to replenish the moisture it’s missing. Moisturisers for oily skin are designed to mattify the surface shine and reduce the amount of grease produced. If you don’t take proper care of oily skin, it tends to become sensitive and easily aggravated.

APPLICATION TIPS• Start by prepping your lips with a lip

balm/lip conditioner.• Apply concealer with a small brush for

the colour to stay on longer. • Line your lips with a colour that

What one thing has made a difference in your Annique Business?

I make my customer deliveries very personal – I add a hand cream as a “Welcome to my Annique Family” gift for first time orders and I also offer my regular clients a discounted rate during their birth month. I also write a hand-written card and add it to each bag thanking the person for their order and I include pamphlets containing product tips; skincare routines, etc. People remember you by the time you take to make them feel special. I am working towards starting a Loyalty Program for my clients so watch this space!

Why did you originally decide to join Annique?I joined Annique on 22 June 2017 to earn a second income that allows me to settle current debt and to build a nest egg for those rainy days. Since joining Annique I have received the Trailblazer Award at our team Jubilee and I still can’t believe that I did it in only a few months!

How has being an Annique Consultant changed your life?

As an introvert in disguise, being a Consultant has brought so many new

friends and acquaintances into my life – I sometimes feel like a superhero when I

see the difference that Annique has made in my clients’ lives. I am also able to give

back and change the lives of others through Annique’s ABC Success Plan, which makes recruiting a breeze – it really is, and has been, a life-changing

opportunity for me.

What makes your Annique business unique/special?

I think for me it is the fact that the products sell themselves – you don’t have to be a hard-core sales person to sell Annique. As long as you live and breathe the brand by using the products and truly believe Annique can change the lives of others, then everything becomes easier. Another big factor for me is the fact that I have amazing support from both my husband, Marinus Otto and my team leader, Martie Kruger. If you are lucky enough to have the support that I have, then your business will flourish.

Use different communication platforms. I have a WhatsApp Broadcast Group

for clients that I use to communicate not only special offers but also product tips. I also use Instagram and Facebook. My top recruitment tip is to recognise the potential in others and to share the business opportunity wherever you

go by talking about your own success.
