Simple to program and operate, the Baldor H2 keypad makes operating, programming and monitoring a snap. The keys on the keypad depress so you “feel” the key has been pushed. We also feature a 128 x 64 graphical display. Best of all, this easy to use keypad is harmonized to operate any H2 product in all power ranges.

Adjusting the control is as simple as it gets because of block programming. With the H2, you’ll never have to scroll through every parameter to get to the one you need. With block programming, the adjustments are grouped in blocks of like adjustments. The H2 keypad enclosure is rated IP65 when mounted on a panel and is designed for remote mounting up to 65 metres away.

Baldor H2 drives offer a wide variety of plug-in expansion boards to allow controls to be interfaced with various inputs and outputs. One, two or three expansion boards may be mounted into the control to custom tailor the inputs, outputs, and feedback requirements to the application. Baldor also offers several expansion boards that allow direct interfacing with popular PLC’s. Depending on the choice, these may consist of an expansion board, software, or a combination of both. All H2 drives include a Modbus RTU Communications port as standard.

Accessories for Series ‘H’ Drives➤ Expansion boards allow the drive to be interfaced with various inputs/outputs and external networks. Each control has the capability to

utilise up to two expansion boards mounted directly in the controller.When using one expansion board, either a Group 1 or 2 board will connect by a connector on the side of the board. When using more than one expansion board, the board from Group 1 connects to the control. A Group 2 board connects to a stacking connector on top of the Group 1 board. When two expansion boards are used, one must be from Group 1 and one from Group 2.

of plug-in expansion boards to allow controls to be interfaced with various inputs and outputs.

➤ One, two or three expansion boards may be mounted into the control to custom tailor the inputs, outputs, and feedback requirements to the application. Baldor also offers several expansion boards that allow direct interfacing with popular PLC’s.

Braking Characteristics of ‘H & H2’ ac DrivesThe graph to the right shows the available braking characteristics of controllers with and without optional resistors. The controller limits the amount of braking torque to avoid tripout due to excess regenerated energy. This limits the deceleration torque available without the optional braking resistors. Use the formula below to determine the required braking resistor kit size where standard braking is insufficient.

Dynamic Braking Kit Selection➤ For drives up to 18.5kW (suffix -E or -W),

calculate the required ‘Resistor Continuous Watts’ using the formula given, then select the ‘RGA’ kit with the required ‘Continuous Rated Watts’ from the appropriate line in the ‘RGA’ table.

➤ Two alternatives are available for drives which have no internal resistor (suffix -EO).

➤ 1). Determine the maximum braking torque required (as a % of motor torque rating). Then select the ‘RBA’ (combination transistor/resistor kit) with adequate Maximum Braking Torque from the ‘RBA’ table.

➤ 2). Calculate the required ‘Resistor Continuous Watts’ using the formula given. Then select the ‘RGA’ kit with the required ‘Continuous Rated Watts’ from the appropriate line in the ‘RGA’ table. Then select the appropriate ‘RTA’ transistor assembly with matching minimum ohms from the ‘RTA’ table.
