Cord Heater
Features Excel in heat resistance as the sheathing of the heater is silicon rubber. As the heater is of cord shape, it can be tted in any type of shape. Maximum Operating Temperature is 180C.
Basic Structure This is a heater integrating a heat generating body with the silicon rubber.
Basic Structure Diagram
Mounting Method Install directly onto piping. As an example to secure the heater, heat resisting aluminum tape can be used. (Fig.1)
Cord HeaterHeat Resisting Tape
(Fig. 1)
Cautions Do not let heater run idle in a tmosphere. It may cause re and break the
wire. Ensure the heater is closely contacted with a heated object whenusing. Do not install by overlapping the heater.
Make sure to connect wire terminals with attention to contact condition. Do not use over the rated voltage(V). When the heater is removed from the heat generating body, make sure that
the power is turned off. In addition, do not touch the heater immediatelyafter the power is turned off.
Use the temperature controller for safety.Selection Method (Cord Heaters, Ribbon Heaters and Silicon Belt Heaters)Determine the heat quantity(W) required for the heater.Calculate with the following formula by using the heat insulating thickness, size of piping, temperature of piping
and temperature difference with the external atmospheric temperature.(Refer to Fig.2, table 1 and 2)
Heat Quantity Required for The Heater(W)=Number of Watt per 1m of Pipe(W/m)xLength of Pipe(m)
Ex.) The case of heating a piping to 30C with size of 15A(1/4B), length of 1 m (heat insulating thickness is 25 mm,external atmospheric temperature is 20C). From Table 1, heat insulating thickness of 25 mm,piping size of 15A(1/4B), temperature difference between piping temperature(30C)and external atmospherictemperature(20C)is 10C , the No. of watt per 1m of piping is 4.0(W/m). Therefore :
Heat Quantity Required for The Heater (W)=4.0 (W/m)x1 (m)=4.0WHeat-retention Thickness

Ribbon Heater
Features Standard Type Excel in heat resistance as the sheathing of the heater is glass cloth. As the heater is of belt shape, it can be tted in piping or tank easily. Maximum operating Temperature is 350C.
Basic Structure This is a heater that has glass cloth covering the heat generating body.
As for the uorine coating type, the heat generating body is covered with
glass cloth by uorine coating.Basic Structure Diagram
How to Mount After winding over a pipe, fasten the heater with the mounting strap.
Fluorine Coating Type As the uorine coating has been ap plied on the glass cloth sheathing, du st raise is
controlled. Also, heat resistance is excellent. As the heater is of belt shape, it can be tted in piping or tanks easily. Maximum operating Temperature is 200C.
Cautions Do not let heater run idle in atmosphere. It may cause re and break the wire.
Ensure the heater is closely contacted with a heated object when using. Prevent the use of heaters from getting wet by water, oil or humidity, as the surface is
glass cloth sheathing. Do not install by overlapping the heater. Make sure to connect terminals with attention to contact condition. Do not use over the rated voltage (V). When the heater is removed from the heat generating body, make sure that the power is
turned off. In addition, do not touch the heater immediately after the power is turned off. Use the temperature controller for safety.
