Hello,

Welcome to Wendelyn Mackenzie Design House! We are available for inquiries at www.wmdesignco.com/inquiries or you can email us at [email protected]. All injuries will be promptly responded to via email requesting any other pertinent information. The response email will also, be followed up with a phone call notifying our clients-to-be that they have some WM Love in their inbox. After all the necessary information is received, we will direct you to the scheduling department for your personalized consultation date! Oh Wait! Be watching your mailbox! Your very own consultation invitation suite is on it’s way! Our suite includes; Your Invitation, Directions (with our favorite maps!), Q&A, Consultant Personal Business Card, and four extra invitations for you to share with the rest of your wedding entourage that will be joining the consultation.

It’s finally time! When you visit us today, you will be greeted by our lovely receptionist, Tatum, who will guide you into our design studio and shower you with fizzy drinks and sweets. Then, she will introduce your consultant(s) to you after you are all situated. This initial meeting will be a chance to sit down discuss anything you like, provide a wedding game plan specifically customized to your wedding needs, and then sign a contract with us! Yay! Now that we are now besties, it’s time to get the entourage back together for a day full of fairytale dreaming and designing! Once, all decisions are made, your consultant(s) will get to work securing all aspects of your wedding that were signed off on in your design day. It’s okay! Don’t worry, if not all design decisions are made by the end of the appointment, we have add on services to each package available to make sure that each detail is tended to.

Can’t wait to see you soon!

XO, Mackenzie Owner & Founder

What is the process to obtain a marriage license?*Both parties must be present to obtain a marriage license.

*Each individual is required to provide a valid government-issued photo I.D., such as a driver's license, passport, etc. to show proof of age and confirm identity. (NOTE: a Matricula Consular I.D. card is not an acceptable form of identification for any type of marriage license to be issued.)

*A copy of a divorce decree is not required; blood tests are not required.

*A marriage license must be issued prior to the ceremony taking place, signed at completion of the ceremony, and returned by the officiator not more than 30 days after the ceremony has taken place in order for the license to be recorded.

*If you are under the age of 18, you must either have a notarized parental Clerk's Office consent form along with a copy of the front and back of the parent(s) identification or have your parent(s) accompany you, present the proper identification, and sign the parental consent form in front of the clerk issuing your license.

*To print the "consent for marriage of minor," click here

*If you are age 16 - 17, a certified copy of your birth certificate and one of the following government issued picture I.D.'s is required: a) current driver's license; b) state or military I.D. card; c) current passport; d) or other government issued picture I.D.

*If you are age 15 or under, you must also have a court order. To obtain a court order you must contact Conciliation Court at (602) 506-3296.

ADDITIONAL NOTES: You will receive your marriage license on the same day you apply for the license, and can be married on the same day, if you have made arrangements with an officiator of your choice to perform the ceremony. However, you have up to one (1) year from the date the marriage license was issued to get married, as the license expires one (1) year from the date of purchase.

After the bottom portion of the license has been returned and recorded, a certified copy can be requested and mailed to you for an additional $35.50 payable at the time you apply for the license or any time afterwards, or $28.50 if you provide a business-size, self-addressed stamped envelope at the time of your request.

For further information, you may call (602)37-CLERK, or (602)372-5375.

Covenant Marriage License / Requirements

According to legislation (A.R.S. 25-901-906) which became effective Aug. 21, 1998, couples who are planning to apply for a Covenant Marriage License must provide a notarized statement from the clergy or marriage counselor who provided their premarital counseling.

The notarized attestation/statement should confirm that:

• the parties were advised about the nature and purpose of a covenant marriage;

• the parties were advised regarding the limited reasons for ending marriage by legal separation or divorce; and

• the parties were given a copy of the pamphlet, Covenant Marriages in Arizona, published by Arizona Office of the Courts (AOC).

At the Marriage License Office, the engaged couple will be asked to sign a marriage license affidavit and the "Declaration of Intent to Enter Into a Covenant Marriage" which states they met statutory requirements.

Requirements for couples who want to convert their marriage to a covenant marriage

Couples who are already married may convert their existing marriage to a covenant marriage. It does not matter where their license was issued. Solemnization (a wedding ceremony) is not required to accomplish the conversion to a covenant marriage.

The married couple will be required to sign a marriage license affidavit and a "Declaration of Intent to Enter Into a Covenant Marriage" form at the Marriage License Office. The fee to convert a traditional license to a covenant marriage is $28.00.

The cost

The cost for the Covenant License is $78.00, which is the same as the Traditional Marriage License.

To get a copy of the Covenant Marriage in Arizona booklet

The Arizona State Supreme Court has an electronic version of the booklet on their website. To view the booklet, click here and select "Covenant Marriages."

You may also contact a member of the clergy or a marriage counselor.

What is the fee for a marriage license?

$78.00

How can I pay for my marriage license?

Cash or money order, bank guarantee card or credit card.

If you are purchasing a license at the Justice Courts, only money orders are accepted.

ENGAGEMENT | BRIDAL SHOWER CONCEPTS

Available as A La Carte Items

ENGAGEMENT PARTY

BBQ | Informal Engagement This is a budget friendly idea and can be held at someone’s home. Guests attending the party can bring a dish which will also cut down on the budget. Decorate the tables with balloons and streamers. Serve hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, and sausage from the grill. Macaroni salad potato salad, coleslaw, chips, veggies, and dip make delicious side dishes. Pink or yellow lemonade, soda, water, beer, and wine coolers will refresh your guests, and keep them hydrated while under the hot summer sun! Put beverages in cans and bottles in a large plastic tub filled with ice. Have plenty of lounge chairs outside. Set up games such as ring toss, bocce ball and badminton.

Stock the Bar Guests are encouraged to “stock the bar” for the couple. To some that meant gifting items on the couple’s registry (wine glasses, cocktail glasses, wine openers, ice buckets, etc) and to others that meant giving bottles of nice wine bourbon, scotch and the like. The invite inserts made sure no one had any questions about what to bring or buy for the happy couple.

BRIDAL SHOWER THEMES

Spa & Beauty This theme is a good choice for a de-stressing opportunity for the bride and her guests. It can be a spa, hire a masseuse, hire a manicurist, etc to pamper guests during the party at the hostess’s home. Decorate the home to look like a spa. Put out fluffy white towels, turn on relaxing music, serve light bites that are easy to nibble with one hand while getting a manicure. Guests can bring gifts that help the bride and groom relax.

Page 78: P R O J E C T T W O

BRIDAL SHOWER THEMES CONTINUED
