MyHealthPortal A project team will be visiting hospitals in the Thompson Nicola area to offer pa- tients access to their personal health info online via the new MyHealthPortal tool. MyHealthPortal provides patients with 24-hour access to their health infor- mation via their phone, tablet or com- puter through a secure portal from the Interior Health website. Registered users will be able to view lab results, diagnostic imaging reports (such as X-ray, CT and ultrasound), cer- tain upcoming appts, recent hospital visit history, and will have the opportunity to update address and phone number info. To sign up, patients must present to the project team in person with legal photo identification and their Care Card or BC Services Card in order to verify their identity. They will be given a login username and password that they will be able to use on their own device—home computer, tablet or smart phone. Then they simply go to the MyHealthPortal page on Interior Health’s web site at www.interiorhealth.ca/ MyHealthPortal to login. The project team will be at the Nicola Valley Hospital and Health Centre on Oct. 31 12:30-3:30pm, Nov. 1-Nov. 3 8:30am- 3:30pm, and Nov. 4 8:30am-12:30pm. Other communities involved in this roll-out of service include Ashcroft, Lil- looet, Clearwater, at this time. For those unable to attend in person, remote enrolment will also available in Merritt after Oct. 31. To enrol remotely, patients must first ask to have their email address added to their patient record at the Registration desk during their next visit to hospital and then can submit an enrolment request at www.interi- orhealth.ca/MyHealthPortal.
