MyHealthPortal A project team will be visiting hospitals

in the Thompson Nicola area to offer pa-tients access to their personal health infoonline via the new MyHealthPortal tool.

MyHealthPortal provides patientswith 24-hour access to their health infor-mation via their phone, tablet or com-puter through a secure portal from theInterior Health website.

Registered users will be able to viewlab results, diagnostic imaging reports(such as X-ray, CT and ultrasound), cer-tain upcoming appts, recent hospital visithistory, and will have the opportunity toupdate address and phone number info.

To sign up, patients must present tothe project team in person with legalphoto identification and their Care Cardor BC Services Card in order to verifytheir identity. They will be given a loginusername and password that they will beable to use on their own device—homecomputer, tablet or smart phone. Thenthey simply go to the MyHealthPortalpage on Interior Health’s web site atwww.interiorhealth.ca/ MyHealthPortalto login.

The project team will be at the NicolaValley Hospital and Health Centre on Oct.31 12:30-3:30pm, Nov. 1-Nov. 3 8:30am-3:30pm, and Nov. 4 8:30am-12:30pm.

Other communities involved in thisroll-out of service include Ashcroft, Lil-looet, Clearwater, at this time.

For those unable to attend in person,remote enrolment will also available inMerritt after Oct. 31. To enrol remotely,patients must first ask to have their emailaddress added to their patient record atthe Registration desk during their nextvisit to hospital and then can submit anenrolment request at www.interi-orhealth.ca/MyHealthPortal. MyHealth-Portal support will contact them byphone to verify their identity and com-plete enrolment.

The Thompson Nicola-area hospitalsare the latest to be offered access to theonline tool. MyHealthPortal is currentlyalso available to patients who have en-rolled in person or via remote enrollmentat the pilot sites. In the future, the servicewill be introduced to all Interior Healthhospital patients through a phased roll-out schedule. To date, more than 1,170 pa-tients have enrolled in MyHealthPortal.
