I want my kids to see that I am putting everything else aside because this class, the kids, the material, right now is the most important thing. This contributes to a very healthy and safe learning environment.

Current Word: RapportYour Word: RapportWhy? I would keep the word rapport because it is almost the same thing as respect. I try to build a connection with each of my students. I want to show them that I am interested in them and their hobbies outside of class. This builds a very strong relationship with a lot of respect between us. When you have this relationship, it gives the students a reason to come to class and try to do their best because they don’t want to disrespect you.
