Intrabreath: Testing during ExerciseSubjects whose Flow-Volume Loop is considerably reduced cannot exercise to a maximum. The Intrabreath pro-gram superimposes each exercise Flow-Volume Loop over the resting loop for easy evaluation of possible ventila-tory limitations. Intrabreath also reports both EELV and IC for each measurement.

Integrated 12-lead-ECGOxycon Pro can be combined with a 12-lead-ECG forexercise and resting ECG. Make your choice - either theJaeger ECG which is fully integrated in the JLAB database, orthe high-end ECG CardioSoft from GE. With both, you caneasily perform a single exercise or resting ECG - also withoutdoing a complete cardiopulmonary exercise test. Furtheroptions like dual monitor or suction unit will provide morecomfortable testing. Simple pulse measurements are possiblewith the optional Polar belt or pulse oximeter.

Evaluation is fo-cused on the determination of the Anaerobic Thresh-old (AT). Different methods such as V-Slope, Breath-ing Equivalent, RQ=1 and Lactate are available. Themeasured values will be displayed at AT to perform aplausibility check. Further thresholds like AE (Aerobicthreshold) or RCP (Respiratory Compensaton point)can be set.

Volume Sensor: Precise and lightweightOur patented digital TripleV-Volume Sensor complies with ATS crite-ria, performs without drift and is completely insensitive to moisture.This is highly sophisticated technology you can truly rely upon. Ascompared to a turbine, the flat fan system has no starting or hunt-ing problems due to its small inertia. Thanks to its compact andlightweight design (45 g only), the sensor adds minimal resistanceto airflow and has a dead space of only 30 mL. Nutritional AssessmentOxycon Pro supports different methods to determineREE (Respiratory Energy Expenditure) including a dif-ferentiation between carbohydrates, fats and proteins.During the standard exercise test these parameterswill be calculated automatically. As an option, thegold standard canopy method with dilution techniquefor REE studies is available. Furthermore, ventilatedpatients can also be measured.

High/Low FIO2 and P0.1 during exerciseFor special studies with an increased level of oxygen theoption „High/Low FIO2“ is available. Studies with up to90% O2 are possible withthe special Eschenbachertransformation.A further special applicationis the measurement of therespiratory drive. By addingCO2 to the inspiration, thereaction of the breathingsystem can be determinedand controlled.Last but not least, the Oxycon Pro even allowsdetermining the respiratory muscle strength via the P0.1measurement during exercise.
