HOW HAVE WE UPDATED OUR BOOKS?WHAT HAS CHANGED?

Life Skills

In the Creative Arts strand, the CATs for Terms 1, 2 and 3 can be either a Visual or Per-forming Arts CAT.The Creative Arts CAT in Term 4 is replaced with an examination.

One formal class test is to be written in Terms 1, 2 and 3. The end-of-year exam is based on content covered during the year.

The minimum mark requirements for Formal Assessment Tasks are standardised, and the Programme of Assessment is clarified (types of assessments to be used per term per grade).

� We’ve ensured that each term has Visual Arts and Performing Arts activities identified as possible Formal Assessments.

� We’ve replaced the Cre-ative Arts task in Term 4 with an exemplar exam.

� The formal assessment has been adjusted to include one formal class test in Terms 1, 2 and 3.

� The end-of-year exam has been updated to include all the content covered during the year.

� We’ve updated the allocated teaching time and mark allocations according to the changes specified.
