Our Management Team

Girish’s career began by managing his family’s Hong Kong - based OEM watch business where he eventually ventured into property development in 2001, with his own firm Hind Hotels & Properties Limited.

Acquiring a Hong Kong apartment complex, inspired by state-of-the-art boutique hotels in London and New York, the property opened in 2002 and eventually became the flagship of the Ovolo brand. Having grown up in Hong Kong, he later attended the University of Southern California, graduating in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and was honored with an Outstanding Alumni of the Year award from USC in 1992.

Girish is an active member of the Indian Chamber of Commerce, the Overseas Indian Organization and the Forum of Indian Professionals Hong Kong. He is also the Chapter Chair of Hong Kong for the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and is part of their Hotel Round Table.

Girish’s business interests also include companies under the Singapore based Hind Group umbrella. He is a businessman, a golfer and a wine aficionado, but in the end he is primarily a family man. As a bonsai tree caretaker carefully directs the path of growth for a bonsai tree in their care, Girish brings the same passion to Ovolo Group with a desire to make it grow and develop into something beautiful.

A well experienced globe trotter, Heddy has traveled to the many corners of the world from the United States and Europe to South Africa and the Middle East. With this personal experience comes a stronger and deeper insight of the various people and cultures one deals with in the hospitality industry. Passionate about life, a love for food and cooking, and a perfectionist by nature, she is complimented with an extensive background in business management and manufacturing. Ovolo has in her someone who has been with the company since its’ inception and will continue to help spearhead it into a grander future.

Heddy LiExecutive Director

Dirk Dalichau a German National and graduate of the Glion Hotel Management School in Switzerland, has joined the Ovolo Group in December 2012 as Chief Operating Officer to drive the Groups international expansion plans as well as continue its conversion to an edgy lifestyle hotel operator. As an art enthusiast he spends much of his time in art galleries and museums, as well as travelling the world in pursuit of inspirational and invigorating experiences.

Dirk brings with him international experience in Hotel Management having worked in the USA, Europe and the United Kingdom, holding positions such as General Manager in Germany England and Hong Kong, Regional Marketing Director for Central & Eastern Europe for a large global Hotel Company, as well as substantial experience in creating lifestyle concepts and running lifestyle hotels. Creating new concepts as well as repositioning projects, driving culture and design as well as motivating teams, in addition to his understanding of both the Western and Eastern Culture, as well as Operations and Sales & Marketing, will be a key asset to Ovolo’s new ventures.

As a man who works with certainty in numbers, he enjoys a secret fondness in the ramdomness one finds in life. In his rare spare time one may find Kin at the occasional game of luck.

Entering the finance world at Touche Ross & Co (HK), Kin eventually found his way to Sydney, Australia where he spent a number of years exploring and working in the financial sector there. A chartered accountant of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants, a fellow member of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a Listed Securities broker for 8 years. His resume includes stints with a shipping agency, toy trading company, and a manufacturing company in the PRC.
