Summary of findings from interviews with supply chain

• “Warts n’all” view of the Subsea sector in Scotland

• General perception is the sector is recovering

• Cost reduction and increased operational efficiency are key focus areas going forward

• Companies see Scotland as having the experience, supply chain and expertise to address their challenges. Other regions however are challenging so competition for their continued investment is real!

• For some of the large manufacturers UK Export Finance has been key to retaining a manufacturing presence here.
