• Inserting 8 FIES questions adopted from FAO in Household Socio-Economic
Survey (SUSENAS) 2017 to produce data for FIES (Food Insecurity Experience Scale) indicator
• In 2017, method of PoU calculation suggested by FAO was adopted and applied to the household consumption data (SUSENAS) and combining data from Ministry of Health. The result of calculation was judged by FAO to be valid and reliable in the workshop in Bangkok → can be produced annually
• Exploring the possibility of using Big Data and other data sources.
Several Initiatives for Indicator Development
Other relatively new surveys or statistical activities which
currently produce proxy and supplementary indicators to support
SDG implementation in Indonesia:
▪ Anti-Corruption Behavior Survey– GOAL 16
▪ Social Capital Module of SUSENAS – GOAL 16
▪ Indonesia Democracy Index – GOAL 16
▪ Happiness Perception Survey – GOAL 16
▪ Environmental Care Behavior Survey – GOAL 8
Some of the above surveys are being reviewed to be potential to produce global indicators
