MyUTK is the new, one-stop-shop for UT Faculty, Staff, and Students. MyUTK is the new, one-stop-shop for UT Faculty, Staff, and Students.

MyUTK is set up in Web Parts, which appear as blocks.

You can Add, Close, or Minimize Web Parts.

You can Drag and Drop Web Parts.

To Minimize or Close a Web Part

1. Move your cursor to the right side of the grey title bar of the Web Part you want

to close until you see a down arrow.

2. Click the down arrow and select “Minimize” or “Close” this Web Part.

3. If you “Minimize”, the grey title bar will still be visible.

4. If you “Close”, the entire Web Part will be removed from your view. You can

always add it back again following the steps to “Add a Web Part”, see the next

page.

To Add a Web Part

1. Click on your name at the top right of the screen and select “Personalize this

Page”. The page will reveal additional places where you can add a Web Part.

2. Click on the place where you want to add this Web Part. At the top left of the

screen you will see a box labeled “Categories”.

3. Select the category , Ex. Select “.UTK -All”.

4. Select the Web Part. “UTK Student Information System” is a Web Part that most

will want to add.

5. Click the “Add” button to the right of the upper screen.

6. Exit the edit view by clicking the “MyUTK Home” link at the top left of the

screen.

“UTK Student Information System” Web Part

1. The “UTK Student Information System” web part will not automatically appear.

It will need to be added using the instructions from the previous page.

2. Choose from the following links.Internet Native Banner (INB)

Self Service Banner (SSB)

Circle Park

Ad Astra

NOLIJ

Argos

“UTK Advisor Links” Web Part

1. All links in the “UTK Advisor Links” Web Part, except “DARS Report”, will take

you directly to Self Service Banner (SSB).

2. Select a Term.

3. Select an Advisee.

4. Choose a link to view information in SSB.

“For Your Review” Web Part

1. Displays a list of tasks for your review, and provides links to follow to complete

the task.

2. Examples of tasks: Parking ticket, Advising Hold, Other Holds.

“How Do I…” Web Part

1. Click the blue down arrow to choose a “How Do I” question.

2. Click the green right arrow to view the answer to your question.

How do I sign out of MyUTK?

To log out of MyUTK, simply quit/exit your web browser.
