Youth court volunteers will prosecute, defend and serve as bailiffs and jurors in a real sentencing hearing of juvenile offenders in Shelby County.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE………..Congratulations Overton High Orchestra Students -Journey Hogan, Jerald Walker and Kenneth Gillespie. Out of 5,500 hopefuls they have been selected to travel and perform at New York City’s Carnegie Hall (High School Honor’s Performance Series). They have also won spots in TN. All West & All State Orchestra.

OHS VOCAL MUSICThis past Saturday, All-State Choir auditions were held at Trinity Christian Academy in Jackson, Tennessee.Congratulations to Arniece Ibezim for capturing an alternate position for 2nd Alto. Once again CONGRATULATIONS!

P.O.W. CLUBThe P.O.W. Club wished to thank all the students and teachers who donated to the Holiday Food Drive to benefiting the Mid-South Food Bank!Congratulations to Mr. Hayslip’s 1st period class who donated over 500 items! They will receive breakfast next week before exams start. Honorable mention goes to Ms. McDonough, Ms. Johnson and Mr. Clawson’s classes 1st period classes who also donated hundreds of items! Thank you for helping meet the needs of many people in the local community.

OVERTON HIGH LEADERSHIP COUNCILAbsences due to pre-approved college visits will not count against seniors for exam exemptions. Seniors must have approval from their professional school counselor prior to the college visit and must submit documentation of visit upon returning.
