ELDERS’ CORNER: Coming up very soon is our annual Bible

Lectureship. The theme for our 13th Lectureship

is: "Great Biblical Truths." We believe that the

subjects that will be covered will help challenge us

all to always hold on to those truths. As the Apostle

Paul said to Timothy, "Hold fast the pattern of

sound words which you have heard from me, in faith

and love which are in Christ Jesus" (II Timothy

1:13). As we live this life, time is quickly passing. The

most gratifying life is when we, as His children, hold

precious the words of God and apply them all to our

lives. Then, and only then, will we be ready to meet

our Lord when He comes again.

At our last Elders/Men's meeting, several

projects were presented to the men to make them

aware of works that will be going on around the

facility. Very soon, our parking lot will be resurfaced

again. The city of Springfield damaged our parking

lot with many heavy duty trucks while making repairs

on the road that runs adjacent to our

property. They are paying for half of the charges.

Also, our building needed attention as the expansion

joints, cracks and other problems have developed

over the years. Repairs are being made at this

time. Our roof will have to be repaired due to being

damaged by high winds. A T. V. taping of our songs

for The Living Word program will be done this

year. A work day will be scheduled for this spring, if

it ever gets here. Encouraging reports were made on

all the African works and on the school here at

BIM. A special day for the distribution of used

clothing is in the process of being organized. We are

planning on the purchase of another vehicle to

replace our present bus this year. Our evangelism

program and Agape program were also

mentioned. We want to thank all of you who are

involved in the work here at K.E. for the effort you

make in doing His will at K.E. For further details,

please feel free to contact one of the elders.

Continue to remember our brethren who are

suffering from many different health issues. Many

of our shut-ins need our cards and visits. Let’s not

forget to remember all of them in our prayers. May

God bless you all.

We hope to see you at all our services and

please make plans to attend all the lectures in our

upcoming Lectureship.
