THE LIVING WORD PROGRAM
SUNDAY MORNING AT: 7:30 A.M.
KOLR – CHANNEL 10
APRIL 2, 2017
BULLETIN
RAY’S REMARKS:
It was with mixed emotions that we laid our dear sister Charlotte Steely to rest last Friday. She was such a wonderful and precious sister in Christ to us all. She really was an important part of our family at Kansas Expressway and she shared a lot of love and joy within the body of Christ. I know we will all miss her and her many cards, but I also know that she now has received those glorious promises of God as a faithful child. I also know that God says we will see our faithful loved ones again someday when this life is over, if we are found faithful as well. Let’s find comfort in the great truths and promises of God’s Word and let’s live in such a way as to always please God and to be found acceptable according to His Perfect Will.
With April only a few days away, let’s keep in mind the many opportunities we have to serve God during this month. We will have our regularly scheduled Agape meals and fellowships with our newly assigned groups. We also have our Men’s Breakfast coming up on the second Saturday of the month. On the 23
rd of the month, we will have the
opportunity to honor our graduates for this year and to let them know how proud we are that they have accomplished another milestone in their lives. On the 5
th Sunday, we will again have the opportunity to
worship God, but we will also have a potluck for the whole congregation and our 5
th Sunday contribution. Remember that this month’s 5
th Sunday
contribution will go toward replacing the song taping for the TV program. The one we have been using is very old and needs to be updated to make the program as effective as possible. Besides these opportunities, many others exist such as encouraging through our visitation and card programs, youth get-togethers, Work day around the building, etc. Please take advantage of every chance you have to work for God during April. May we never grow weary while doing good, or while accomplishing God’s Will.
Tonight is our mid-week service! I know most of your will be present to worship God, ready to give Him our best. In fact, where would we rather be on any given day than with our believing brothers and sisters, worshiping before the Throne of our God. Also, remember that Sunday will be another great Lord’s day with many opportunities to Worship God. Keep in mind, God always blesses the faithful!

Dear K.E. Members & friends,
Just a brief note to express my gratitude for you
all for the excellent support and encouragement
given to Jordan, Minnie & little “Jacq-Jacq”-
However, this note is way too little to pour out the
feelings of my heart- so please see “the Novel” I
wrote while trying not to cry again! ~Dovia Evans

ELDERS’ CORNER: Coming up very soon is our annual Bible
Lectureship. The theme for our 13th Lectureship
is: "Great Biblical Truths." We believe that the
subjects that will be covered will help challenge us
all to always hold on to those truths. As the Apostle
Paul said to Timothy, "Hold fast the pattern of
sound words which you have heard from me, in faith
and love which are in Christ Jesus" (II Timothy
1:13). As we live this life, time is quickly passing. The
most gratifying life is when we, as His children, hold
precious the words of God and apply them all to our
lives. Then, and only then, will we be ready to meet
our Lord when He comes again.
At our last Elders/Men's meeting, several
projects were presented to the men to make them
aware of works that will be going on around the
facility. Very soon, our parking lot will be resurfaced
again. The city of Springfield damaged our parking
lot with many heavy duty trucks while making repairs
on the road that runs adjacent to our
property. They are paying for half of the charges.
Also, our building needed attention as the expansion
joints, cracks and other problems have developed
over the years. Repairs are being made at this
time. Our roof will have to be repaired due to being
damaged by high winds. A T. V. taping of our songs
for The Living Word program will be done this
year. A work day will be scheduled for this spring, if
it ever gets here. Encouraging reports were made on
all the African works and on the school here at
BIM. A special day for the distribution of used
clothing is in the process of being organized. We are
planning on the purchase of another vehicle to
replace our present bus this year. Our evangelism
program and Agape program were also
mentioned. We want to thank all of you who are
involved in the work here at K.E. for the effort you
make in doing His will at K.E. For further details,
please feel free to contact one of the elders.
Continue to remember our brethren who are
suffering from many different health issues. Many
of our shut-ins need our cards and visits. Let’s not
forget to remember all of them in our prayers. May
God bless you all.
We hope to see you at all our services and
please make plans to attend all the lectures in our
upcoming Lectureship.
