How does the assessment process work?

The trade skills assessment involves an assessment of your skills obtained through formal and non-formal learning and work experience against the Australian standards. You are required to submit evidence of your skills and to demonstrate these in a practical assessment.

The assessment is in two compulsory stages:

• a competency profile (paper based) assessment

• a practical skills assessment.
