UPDATES

Overloud is continuously evolving and improving its products. We advise you to always check for possible updates before installing, and to do the same after installation from time to time.

HOW TO SET UP

Please follow the instructions below to install and authorize.

1. INSTALLATIONOverloud installers can set up all formats available (e.g. AudioUnit, RTAS, VST, Standalone) for the platform they have been ran on (Mac, PC). You may nd separate 32 and 64 bit versions: in that case just select the one which is appropriate for your system.

INSTALL FROM REMOVABLE MEDIA (CD/DVD)

1. Search the CD content and locate the Installer application;2. Run the Installer;3. Follow the instructions provided.

INSTALL FROM THE WEB SITE

1. Go to www.overloud.com and navigate the web site to the download page;2. Locate and download the Installer application;3. Run the Installer;4. Follow the instructions provided.

2. AUTHORIZATION

USER ACCOUNT

Overloud licensing system works with user accounts. Here is how you create one:

1. Go to www.overloud.com;2. Click Client Login on the upper right side of the window;3. On the Login dialog frame click create one;4. Fill in the online Register form paying attention to correctly enter your E-mail Address;5. Click Continue to submit your information;6. A conrmation request E-mail will be sent to the provided address;7. Open the E-mail and click the link to conrm.

Once you have set up your user account, you will be enabled to authorize. The authorization procedure changes signicantly if the computer is or is not connected to the Internet. By far the easiest way is to get the authorization with a computer which has an active Internet connection.

AUTHORIZE ON A COMPUTER CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET

1. Either run the Standalone application or load the plugin inside the host application;2. On the product Authorization window click Internet Authorization;3. Enter your Overloud user account information, the product serial number and a descriptive name of the

computer that you are authorizing; then click Authorize and you’re done.

AUTHORIZE ON A COMPUTER WITH NO INTERNET CONNECTION(however you need a separate computer with active Internet connection)

Let’s name Studio Workstation the computer to authorize and Internet Computer a separate computer where you can access the Internet. Following steps imply the use of a USB ash key to exchange les between both computers, you may be using an alternate media.

ON THE STUDIO WORKSTATION1. Either run the Standalone application or load the plugin inside the host application;2. Then on the product Authorization window click Manual Authorization;3. Click Save License Request and point the USB ash key to save the request le there;4. Move, with the USB key, to the Internet Computer;

ON THE INTERNET COMPUTER5. Go to www.overloud.com, click Client Login and access your user account;

ADD A NEW SERIAL NUMBER (SKIP IF THE SERIAL NUMBER HAS BEEN ALREADY REGISTERED)a. Click the [+] symbol next to the name of the product to authorize;b. Enter the serial number;

6. Click New Activation with License File;7. Click Choose File and select the Request File on the USB ash key;8. Enter a textual description of the computer that is being authorized (e.g. “Studio Workstation”) and click

Submit;9. If everything was ne, you will see a message of Successful Authorization with a link reading

“license le” with which you can download and save the License File to your USB ash key;10. Move back, with the USB key, to the Studio Workstation;

ON THE STUDIO WORKSTATION11. If you quitted the Overloud product, run it again, choose Manual Authorization and click Next until

you come to the Read License File page;12. Click Read License File and select the license le on your USB ash key.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT AUTHORIZATIONAs stated on the EULA, End User License Agreement, you can authorize up to three computers for the same serial number, provided that you own these computers and that you only run one installation at a time.Read more on this in the enclosed EULA documentation.

3. INSTALLATION FAQ - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. Should I authorize each format (AudioUnit, VST, ...) separately?

A. No. After you authorized one format the other ones will get authorized as well.

Q. How many authorizations am I allowed to do?

A. You can authorize a single serial number on up to three (3) separate computers, provided that they all belong to you and that you only will run one installation at a time.

Q. I’m about to reinstall/upgrade my system, am I going to lose my authorization?

A. No: you can de-authorize before the format. Read more and that at the next question...

Q. Can I remove the authorization from a computer?

A. Yes. Starting from version 1.1.8 of TH1/TH1 Triode and from version 1.5.9 of BREVERB and with all versions of other Overloud products, you can now de-authorize an Overloud product (you need an active Internet connection). Open the Preference panel and click the Deauthorize button. After you provide some information the de-authorization process will automatically remove the authorization from your computer and restore it on the Overloud online server. You can then re-authorize the same computer (e.g. after a system format), or another one providing that it belongs to you.

Q. Can I authorize on a computer that is not connected to the Internet?

A. Yes. The authorization process, however, requires a separate computer with an Internet connection.

Q. The application unexpectedly quits, hangs or doesn’t start at all. What to do?

A. First update it to the latest version: go to www.overloud.com, navigate to the download page and select the installer of your choice. If the problem persists, contact our technical support navigating www.overloud.com to the support request form.

Q. Do I need an iLok to run my Product?

A. No. iLok is not supported anymore starting from version 1.1.8 of TH1/TH1 Triode and from version 1.5.9 of BREVERB.
