After the bd is plished it cmes ut f the lathe and ges in the mill.

The 3rst cut is %ith a )8 end mill .$25 deep, starting at the head end, abut

2.5" lng. Then - cut deeper t pen up the bd frm $" frm head fr 2"

The 3ring pin is a piece f $$6 stainless %elding rd. After the stri/er and

blt bd %ere made - put the stri/er inside the bd and drilled d%n frm

the rim area n the blt face thrugh the bd and int the stri/er. This

ensured the hles %uld line up. Then the pin %as lctited int the stri/er

and cut and shaped t length.

The little plug scre%s int the bac/ f the bd t retain the spring. :pring
