Dear Friend,

The overwhelming majority of women who attend Women of Faith events come

in groups. That makes our Group Leaders—women like you who step up to

help others—extremely important.

Some in your group may indicate first-time decisions for Christ at the event (many

do!). From what we hear, most women walk out of the arena just a little different

than they were when they came…all because they were part of your group.

What Group Leaders do is a ministry. Because of your commitment, women

will experience an Over the Top weekend. They’ll take a much-needed break

from their everyday lives and return refreshed, relaxed, and renewed.

The best way to have a terrific group is to invite everyone you know. Extend

a personal invitation to join your group. Then remind them via email, posters,

skits, announcements… This is the perfect year to go Over the Top with your

promotional ideas!

• Tell everyone you know, even men—they may know someone who’d

be interested.

• Show the Preview Video every chance you get

• Think outside your normal group “box”—invite women from your office,

hair salon, gym, day care…

• Challenge women to bring a friend as an outreach opportunity. It’s a great

way to extend your ministry. Women of Faith events are a fun, easy way to

introduce someone to the message of God’s love and grace.

• Hang up posters (inside the stalls of the women’s restroom, maybe?),

pass out flyers, and place announcements in newsletters and worship

folders.

• Do you blog? Talk up your group there—and remember to provide

contact information.

• Don’t do it all yourself—get everyone else talking about Over the Top, too!

• Mark November 15, 2009 on your calendar. It’s our first official Women

is a great way to persuade others they need to come. Be sure to include where

and when group members can sign up.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, a video must be worth a million! Get

women interested by showing the Preview Video (included) at your church

service, Bible study, or other events. Set up a table anywhere people gather

and have the video playing there. Remember to have plenty of flyers on hand—

and a sign-up sheet for group members!

The most important thing to do is invite interested women to join your group.

• Be prepared: have sign-up sheets (available online) for them to fill out or a

notepad ready to take their information.

• We suggest taking a small deposit from group members as a confirmation of

their commitment. Some Group Leaders set up payment plans, as well.

• Be sure to touch base with your group members occasionally so they

remember when payment is due and the date of the event.
