Construction Machinery and Vehicles on the Container Ship

Container ships are carrying almost nothing.However container ships need to carry machinery cargoes too.

RORO ships are carrying most of them.

Construction machines and vehicles can be carried on the container ship.

We are proposing


Oversized machinery on Flat Rack causes various problems.

1. Handling Problem • They have to be lifted by special gears, so extra work, time and cost are needed.

2. Stowing Problem • They have to be stowed at top tier

under deck, so loadable quantity and spaces are very limited.

3. Dead Space Problem• Over size makes too many dead spaces,

so freight is much expensive than RORO.


Problems of Oversized Machinery on Flat Rack

Makers want to use container ships but they can not.

1.Because of expensive freight and cost •Container freight is much expensive than RORO.

2.Because of spaces shortage and quantity limitation •The loadable spaces in the hold are very limited. •Just small quantity can be shipped.

But carriers can provide good freight and enough spaces.
