Ural Company for Transformer TechnologiesSince 2000 the UZTT transformer factory for high-voltage equipment, a manufacturer and ven-dor of package transformer substations (KTP substations), has its own manufacturing of Pack-age Transformer Substations, transformers and sells its products directly from the factory. The UZTT Company is specialized in manufacturing of LOW-VOLTAGE and HIGH-VOLTAGE equipment for electrical power supply systems used in industrial and civil construction, agriculture, oil and gas industries, and mining operations
The UZTT manufacturing factory offers the following range of services:
• Designing of KTP substations.• Complete cycle of manufacturing of electrical equipment, including KTP substations.• Mounting of package transformer substations, electrical installation work, substations
construction and KTP installation.• Manufacturing of oil-cooled power transformers and other components for substations.• Selling of finished electrical equipment, available and upon request.
UZTT constantly improves the technological process, searches for non-conventional solutions which allows to adapt to changing market conditions. The company is developing new model forms of package transformer substations, extending its product lines and equipment power range. Being targeted at market requirements, the factory manufactures 14 varieties of pack-age transformer substations in three options:
• “Economy” - electric power substations with hammer finish paint coating.• “Standard” - transformer substations with powder paint coating.• “Elite” - KTP with ABB; Schneider Electric, Siemens components and powder paint coat-
ing, in color to meet customer requirements. Package transformer substations of «Econ-omy» class and “Standard” substations can have components from domestic and foreign manufacturers.

Since July 2008 the UZTT electromechanical plant has been an official supplier for the Ekater-inburg Electric Grid Company. We offer our regular customers different ways of work: credit on goods, deferred payments, and customer-friendly system of discounts.
Products go through stringent quality control. The Ekaterinburg transformer factory, UZTT fac-tory, will carry out projects for transformer substation power supply, making every effort to en-hance quality of its products made with application of advanced equipment from foreign man-ufacturers. All the products are certified and comply with GOST and TU national standards.

Outdoor package transformer substation (KTP) with power of 25-1000 kVA and voltage of 10 (6) / 0,4 (0,23) kV, with cable and air input on the high-voltage side, cable or air output on the low-voltage side is intended for receiving electric power of alternating three-phase current with industrial frequency of 50 Hz, voltage of 10 (6) kV, converting it into electric power with voltage of 0.4 (0.23) kV and distributing it to consumers.
It is used to supply power to industrial, agricultural and utility facilities within loop or radial sys-tems of distribution networks.
The substation housing is metal (standard or with heat insulation). Fire resistance rating of con-struction elements is IV according to SNiP 21-09-97 “Fire safety of buildings and constructions”.
The substation housing is designed as a welded construction and serves as a supporting struc-ture, withstanding even the most severe dynamic loads. It provides easy access for mainte-nance and repair of high-voltage and low-voltage equipment.
Meets the requirements of regulatory documents: GOST 14695-80*, GOST 1516.3-96, TU 3412-005-96418566-09.
Structure of KTP reference designation and configuration
X1 – number of power transformers (no sign if one transformer);
KTP – product line letter designation: Package Transformer Substa-
tion;
Х2 – configuration type: P – double-ended, T – single-ended (except
mast-mounted and pole-mounted substations);
ХЗ – HV inputs configuration: V – air, K – cable;
Х4 – power of power transformer, kVA;
Х5 – rated voltage on the HV side, kV;
0,4 (0,23) – rated voltage on the LV side, kV:
U1 – climatic configuration and location category according
to GOST 15150-69.
KTP – product line letter designation:

V – air;
Х1 – configuration type: M – mast-mounted, S – pole-mounted;

Normal operation of substation is provided when:
• the installation height is no more than 1000 m above sea level;• the ambient air temperature is between minus 40 C deg. and plus 40 C deg., as well as the
incidental temperature drop is up to minus the 45 C deg.;• the daily average relative air moisture is up to 80 % at plus 15 C deg.;• there is no current-conducting dust, chemically active gases and evaporations in the en-
vironment.
KTP (except PKTP) is not intended for operation in the conditions of:
• shaking, vibration, blows;• dangerously explosive places;• the ambient air shouldn’t contain acrid vapors, dust and gases in concentrations that
break the KTP operation and destroy metals and insulation.
KTP protection rating in accordance with GOST-14254 is IP-44.
Insulation resistance:
• on the LV side with respect to the housing is no less than 0.5 megohm; • on the HV side with respect to the housing• and other earthed poles – no less than 1000 megohms;
Electrodynamic endurance of VN compartment buses is 51 kA;
• for KTP-VM – 16 kА;
Short-time thermal current of VN compartment buses is 20 kA;
• for KTP-VM – 6.3 kA.

I. Kiosk-type outdoor substations
1. Type – single-ended air (cable) 1.1. Single-transformer
Single-ended KTP with the cable input (Fig. 1) and single-ended KTP with the air input (Fig. 2) can be produced for the transformer power between 25 and 1000 kVA.
Upon request they can be produced for the transformer power of 1600 and 2500 kVA.
KTP-TK(TV) substations with power of 25-400 kVа can have a smaller-size configuration (Fig. 3,4).

II. Pole-mountedPole-mounted KTP (Fig. 11) can be produced for the transformer power between 25 and 250 kVA.
Pole-mounted package transformer substations - KTP-VS (agricul-tural) - are used to supply electric power to cottages, industrial, ag-ricultural and utility facilities within loop or radial systems of distri-bution networks.
Pole-mounted package transformer substations (KTP-VS) do not have common outer shell. Each compartment of the substation is mounted on a special-purpose frame on a power line pole.

IV. MOBILE (OPEN-PIT)Mobile transformer substations (Fig. 13) are designed to receive three-phase ac electric power with industrial 50 Hz frequency and 10 (6) kV voltage, to convert it into electric power with 0.4 kV voltage and to distribute it to consumers.
It is used to supply ac electricity to portable current collectors for surface coal mines, ore and other mines (open pits) with open-cast mining operations; they can be also used to supply elec-tricity to underground mine consumers through pit-holes and boreholes, construction sites and other temporary facilities.
Comply with TU 3412-005-96418566-09.
PKTR packaging is made according to Customer Questionnaire.

VI. Container-type substations with maintenance corridorsContainer-type substations (KTRN) have maintenance corridors. Equipment maintenance is carried out di-rectly from transformer substation rooms (compartments).
Each KTRN has three (or four – for double-transformer substations) compartments: HV compartment, LV compartment, power transformer(s) compartment (or compartments– for double-transformer substa-tions). Switchgears and protection devices and other electrical equipment are installed in high-voltage and low-voltage compartments (rooms) in chambers and cabinets, which type is determined according to the order - generally, they are:
• on the HV side – KSO 366 cells (КSО385), КSО292 • on the LV side – panels ShchO 70.
HV-side input – cable, LV-side output – cable. Upon request can be produced with the air input.
Transformer substation is equipped with lighting, has 220 and 12В outlet circuit, internal ground loop with outside-mounted “bosses” for connection to the external ground loop. Substation can be equipped with electric heating, which is operated both in automatic and manual mode.
The substation housing is metal (standard or with heat insulation). Fire resistance rating of construction elements is IV according to SNiP 21-09-97 “Fire safety of buildings and constructions”.
Substations can be produced both in standard UZTT overall dimensions (three dimension-types) and cus-tomized dimensions.
Number of transport units for double-transformer substations – 3:• HV switchgear compartment (with installed equipment)• LV switchgear compartment (with installed equipment)• Compartments of transformers No.1 and No.2.
Power transformers should be transported in accordance with rules for carriage of goods or regulations applicable for this type of transport. Number of transport groups for single-transformer substations is de-termined on an individual basis and depends on the equipment kit.
Questionnaire for KTRN with maintenance corridor shall contain:• Questionnaire for HV switchgear, specifying type of installed cells, as well as type and specifica-
tions of equipment, installed inside them, scheme of equipment installation;• Questionnaire for LV switchgear, specifying type of installed panels, as well as type and specifica-
tions of equipment, installed inside them, scheme of equipment installation;• Questionnaire for transformers;• Questionnaire for package condensing units.
