FloydFest Outdoor Adventures Need a natural recharge before getting back to the music? Stop by the new FloydFest Outdoor Adventures tent in the Global Village. We're excited to announce a host of activities to enrich your weekend experience and help you fully enjoy the beauty of the Blue Ridge. What to Bring Mountain bike and helmet (also available for free half hour rental from Starlight Bicycles at Outdoor Adventures tent) Road bike for group rides Disc golf discs (also available for purchase at Outdoor Adventures and Merch tent) Camera GPS Device Endurance and a keen sense of adventure Outdoor Adventures Headquarters - Tent open 10 am - 5 pm daily Hiking Trails - Hiking is encouraged on the Moon Stomper Trail ONLY from sunrise to 10 am and 7 pm to sunset due to disc golf and mountain bike usage. Other hiking opportunities abound! Get trail info at the Outdoor Adventures tent. Disc Golf - Pick up a course map at the Outdoor Adventures tent and toss for the weekend's best score on our Innova-sponsored 9-hole course. (The course is only open for play during designated hours). Sign up for Saturday’s tournament at the OA tent. Moon Stomper Mountain Bike Trail - Helmets are required for all bike activities! Ride your own, or check out a rental bike and helmet from sponsor Starlight Bicycles at the Outdoor Adventures tent. All rentals require a waiver and a guardian for children 18 and younger. The trail is only open to riders during designated hours. Sign up for the Sunday race at the OA tent.

Little River Float Trips - Cool down with a 2.5 hour float down Virginia’s Little River. Daily trips include lunch and an option of tubing, kayaking or canoeing. (Details at the bottom) Photo Scavenger Hunt - Explore FloydFest's nature and win a slice from Dogtown Pizza! Kid friendly! Floyd Running Club 5K – Push yourself at the FloydFest XI 5K race. Sign up anytime over the weekend and meet at the OA tent at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday. Special prize for best costume. FloydFest XI Ultimate Gear Giveaway Challenge – Stop by the Outdoor Adventures tent for daily giveaways and a score card where you can track your Outdoor adventures, racking up points for a chance at being our outdoor gear grand prize winner. There’s a special geocache stashed somewhere on the premises, so bring your GPS for extra credit points toward winning gear.

SCHEDULE Thursday: 6:30pm: Naturalist Guided Sunset Hike to Grassy Knoll (elevation 3475’) – 2 hours – Meet at Outdoor Adventures Tent Friday: Moon Stomper Hours - Disc Golf: 10am - 1pm and 5-7pm Mountain Biking: 1 - 5 pm 8:30am: Field Games: Capture the Flag/Kick the Can (all ages) - Main field. Meet at the Fountain. 9:15am: Ultimate Frisbee - Main field. Meet at the Fountain. 10am: Naturalist guided hike Into Rock Castle Gorge, 2 hours – Meet at Outdoor Adventures Tent. 10am: Little River Float Trip. $35 each with lunch ($25 for tubes, $10 kids under 12 as passengers). Meet at front gate. Returns at 3pm. See page four for details. 4pm: Naturalist Guided Hike Along the Blue Ridge, to Grassy Knoll and beyond. Three hours –Meet at Outdoor Adventures Tent

Meet at the Fountain. 10am: Group Road Bike Ride - Meet at front gate timber framed info kiosk. Two hour ride. (BYO Bike). 10am: Little River Float Trip. $35 each with lunch ($25 for tubes, $10 kids under 12 as passengers). Meet at front gate. Returns at 3pm. Meet at the Fountain. 9:30am: Second Annual FloydFest 5K Fun Run. Sponsored by the Floyd Running Club. Fastest time in each age group wins outdoor gear and FloydFest goodies. Special prize for best costume. Meet at OA tent at 9:15am. 10am: Group Road Bike Ride - Meet at front gate timber framed info kiosk. Two hour ride. (BYO Bike) 1pm: Starlight Bicycles Mountain Bike Race (Time Trials) - Meet at OA tent. Fastest time to complete trail wins outdoor gear and FloydFest goodies.

Little River Float Trips Offered by On the Water in Floyd www.onthewaterinfloyd.com Friday and Saturday Leave 10 am Return 3 pm Sunday Leave 8:30 am Return 1:30 pm Each session: 10 available kayaks 6 available canoe spots (3 canoes) $35 each including lunch utilizing Floyd-grown produce 15 available tubes $25 each including lunch Children 12 and under riding as passengers are $10 including lunch.
