Dear Friend, Upon asking many supporters what it was that resonated with them about AE’s ministry, many of you said it was the holistic aspect i.e. taking the gospel to people AND demonstrating Christs love in action.

A letter fromPeter Cheel to you

A letter from AE Aust/NZ Director,

Peter Cheel

...........GOD CAN and does transform and heal His people.

YOU CAN and have impacted the lives of countless people through your support of many key Aid & Development projects throughout the 10 countries and beyond. Thank you!

WE CAN and continue to implement projects that facilitate healing, restoration of dignity, provision of living water and the empowerment to develop a sustainable income.

James (2:14-17) is a reminder to us of the importance of faith and action:

What good is it my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if not accompanied by action, is dead.

Edward Ngaira is currently the Team Leader of African Enterprise, Kenya, where he leads the team there in a wide array of Evangelism and Social Action initiatives. The current focus is on mentoring young people in universities, widely impacting communities with the gospel of Christ through mass media, growing and developing the Foxfire Ministry in Kenya, raising resources toward a Mission & Leadership Centre and reaching out to the Southern Sudan republic.

To hear Edward share about his ministry and outreach in Kenya and the wider continent of Africa come and hear him speak at a number of locations across these 3 cities. www.africanenterprise.com.au

AE Ghana upholds our Holistic Approach to Mission

Just as Jesus cares for the whole person AE too seeks to minister to people in a holistic way... Word and Deed.

In August we are launching an exciting initiative called AE week. Over two Sundays, AE Ambassadors and our team will be promoting the work of AE throughout ANZ churches. During the week we are calling on our supporters to host a meal with friends, family, church colleagues, sporting mates etc. The objective is to have fun, promote and raise funds for the AE ministry and engage new supporters.

We hope this event will become a natural part of your social calendar in the years to come!

Watch this space for further details!

Songe also met with the Chair of the aborted 2002 mission. In light of this Songe says; “He [the chair]is keen to be on board and is willing to engage new leaders as eleven years have passed, we need to now bridge the gap between new leaders and past leaders. We agreed that we also need to look at new strategies on how we can be able to reach out in this huge city that has a lot of influence to impact the surrounding French speaking cities.”

This visit saw the foundation being laid for a path that will continue God’s amazing work in Abidjan, with AE’s PAN African Missions team and Ivorians jointly setting their hands to the plough to reap this immense harvest.

Celebrate with AE WEEK in

2013It’s celebration time at African Enterprise & we would like you to join in the festivities in 2013.

Abidjan, the former capital of Ivory Coast and one of Africa’s greatest cities, is inhabited by the third largest number of French speakers in the world. It is considered one of West Africa’s foremost cultural cities, with high levels of industrialization and urbanization.

A hub for export and import activities into and out of the continent, Abidjan is a gateway between Africa and the Western world. Evidently, this bustling port holds the potential for transformation and is electric with God’s immaculate touch of restoration and reformation. This is something the city needs after many years of instability caused by Ivory Coast’s massive civil war.

In 2002, missionaries from South Africa had been called to evangelize this city for Christ. The mission was aborted after the civil war made the environment too hostile for them to work with the native people. Now, over a decade later, the nation is piecing itself together and in search of a Savior who can heal and reconcile the years of calamity.

This is where Songe Chibambo, Director of AE’s PAN African Missions team, fits in. He has felt a call on his heart to complete the work that began all those many years ago. He recently visited the country to, among other things, attend the David Wilkenson Leadership Conference and to build a relationship with the local church. Songe reported that over 4 000 men of God were in attendance at the conference, which he described as a very unique experience where he saw the Spirit of the Lord at work in the life of church leaders.

The visit confirmed the yearning in his heart for that city and he has returned excited about what God is already doing. “As an organization we can rebuild on the previous invention, [there is] no need to reinvent the wheel, the core of the church leaders have got a Kingdom vision. Our responsibility is to identify them and incorporate other new leaders who need to be an integral part of what we are trying to do in Abidjan.”

AE looks to French Speaking Africato win souls for the Lord.

African Enterprise is running two new campaigns which are designed to communicate God’s great work in Africa, and inspire others to partner with African Enterprise so the Kingdom work in Africa can continue to flourish.

Set down for the 4th to the 11th August, AE Week is the most exciting initiative we have engaged in for many years.

Join us for AE WeekThe two Sundays (4th & 11th) will be opportunities for deputations in as many churches across Australia and New Zealand as we can organise. Speakers will be explaining who African Enterprise is, what is being achieved and how others can get involved. By engaging with partner churches and as many new churches as possible we will increase the reach of the AE message many-fold and will be able to inspire all with stories of rescue and relief in Africa.

Share a meal with us - The Great Big Annual DinnerThe middle days of the week (5th - 10th) are set aside for

AE Week – If you know of a church or group that we should contact regarding making a presentation on either of those Sundays please let us know.

Morning Services, Evening Services or even Friday / Saturday Services could be catered for.

When we talk of holistic transformation, Ernestina from Ghana cannot stop praising God for his love. Through the prostitute rehabilitation project implemented through AE Ghana, she got to give her life to Christ late last year. Since then, her life is no longer the same. Empowering her with Fabric screen printing and soap making skills left her well-equipped for earning a livelihood with dignity. Her enthusiasm to reach the unreached through the gospel is an encouragement to many. She is now thriving in evangelism and intercessory ministries in her local church. According to her she wakes up as early as 3.00am to preach around her community before she goes to her working table. She has done it so faithfully that a member of her church has bought her a mini amplifier to enhance her voice.

supporters to host a meal in their home, church, garage etc., and invite family and friends to attend. Everybody would be asked to pay something (nominated by the meal host) which would go to AE as a contribution and everybody would hear something about the ministry. We will provide material, recent stories, and are endeavouring to have a new DVD produced featuring Stephen Mbogo so that everybody will be introduced to the vision and meet the new International Team Leader.

It is hoped that groups will gather in NZ, NSW, Vic, WA, and QLD this first year and that the number of groups will increase each year with new information and inspiring stories being released in time for AE Week each year.

There are quite a good number of people who always think that society has not been fair to them. They look at their present predicament and throw their hands in despair. They see no hope and yet God loves them. Through the ministry of African Enterprise (AE) Ghana, many of such individuals, who otherwise were living in a state of hopelessness, have been met with special grace from God.

or wealth to the brilliant or favour to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.

(Ecc. 9:11,NIV)

From the beginning of 2013, through the benevolence of AE Australia and the help of others, AE Ghana was empowered to recruit 80 needy children to go through apprenticeship training in various vocations.

These 80 young people who would otherwise be eking out a living on the streets of Accra are studying skills from one of the following: Aluminium Fabrication; Auto Mechanics; Auto Welding; Catering and Decoration; Computer Training, Handcrafts; Hairdressing; Masonry; Tailoring and Dressmaking.

On March 12, AE Ghana held a special ceremony in which beneficiaries were given their needed tools and kits to help them learn their trade. We were joined by AE Aid & Development Director, Janet Mwendwa.
