Being an online magazine there is more interaction and links to other

places on the internet. In most of the features there is a link to the bands

MySpace or website if the reader wants to find out more. They also have

direct links from adverts to their website which makes it easier and quicker

to find out more about what the advert is selling and the reader is more

likely to look at the product if there is a direct link.

The interactive magazine allows the reader to

turn the pages at their own leisure. There are

also direct links to pages from the contents

page which allows the reader to go to a

section they are most interested in. There is also

a a music player at the bottom of the screen

w which plays songs and demos from the bands

t that feature in the magazine.

I like this type of magazine because I can listen to the music while reading

about the band which I can·t do with paper magazines, which I think is also

helpful when the band I·m reading about is relatively unknown. Reading

one person·s interpretation of a new band is hard to judge if I haven·t

heard the band for myself, which is an aspect that real magazines don·t

have. I also like the simplicity of flicking through and having direct links to

other websites. I think that the readers of this type of magazine like the idea

of finding out about the bands before ´the massesµ because this magazine

is relatively unknown they usually get bands that are new, just coming on to

the scene who then go on become popular. For example, You Me At Six

and Kids In Glass Houses are quite well-known now had a feature in

OURZONE about two years ago just before their release of their first albums.
