A Bit Of Fun!

It’s a Joke! A psychic midget escaped from custody last night! The head-lines this morning read, “Small Medium At Large!”

If Ryan Giggs’ missus leaves him and takes half of everything he owns, she’ll have 6 more Premier League medals than Steven Gerrard!

A man sneaked out of hospital and into a pub still in his dressing gown. He ordered a pint of Carling and a double brandy. Having downed them in 5 minutes he asked for the same again. As he drained the last drops of the brandy he said to the barman, “I shouldn’t be drinking this with what I’ve got.” The barman stood back, alarmed, and asked “Why? What have you got?” “About 50p” said the patient.

Overall:

This month’s restaurant review is the Indian Ocean in Ashton, one of Tamesides best known curry houses which has been there as long as I can remember! There’s a good reason it is so well known and has been open for so long, that’s because the food is great! The starters were great! Crispy onion bhajis and proper pakoras! I’ve been to an Indian restaurant before now, ordered pakoras and got chicken pieces in bright orange, crispy pancake style bread crumbs! Not at the Indian Ocean though, these were totally authentic tender pieces of chicken tikka, coated in gram flour batter. The main courses were really good too, the madras wasn’t too hot and the balti was very tasty. The rice and naan bread were also top quality! All in all the food was very good and there was plenty of it!When we arrived, the place was packed! We asked how long for a table and were told 15-20 minutes! I was a bit dubious, the amount of people in there made me think it was going to be more like an hour! We went through to the bar area, where they had a singer on, and got a couple of drinks whilst we waited. It was a warm night so we went out onto the terrace. Sure enough, 20 minutes later we were called to our table! The service was fast and the staff were all very friendly. A nice atmosphere overall. So nice in fact, a guy on the table across from us proposed to his girlfriend! There was cheering and the champers came out so I assume she said yes! Congratulations to them!I would definitely recommend the Indian Ocean to anyone who enjoys a curry. I try other curry houses now and then but I’m still to find one that betters the Indian Ocean!
