UnderwaterSubgenre: supernatural, conspiracy.Location: isolated ocean at night and underwater.

Character: Scuba-diver

Main plot: Group of divers make an agreement with government to retrievevaluable artefacts from under the sea. The same one diver is theonly one ever to survive. This is because he has special powers

which kills them and once he receives the artefacts from the otherdivers as he wants to keep them to himself.

2 minute sequence:

We can see a shot of an open dark isolated ocean. Camera goesunderwater, we see a random object (such as suitcase or mug). Then comeup to the surface and see the original shot. See the scuba-diver surface

which is accompanied by synchronous sound of heavy breathing andbubbles. See the back of a head wearing a black wetsuit. Cuts to his pointof view, looking around above the water, hear the noise of a birdssquawking.



Fake deathSubgenre: criminal, psychological.

Location: outside funeral (by a hole in the ground where coffin will belowered into). Dust morning, gloomy foggy light. Looks cold.

Characters: family and friends of dead person, a middle aged man.

Main plot: man has faked his own death. See the burial of him, but theaudience is unaware of who is dead. Story follows him on his

journey of trying to stay hidden. Audience see continual flashbacksthroughout the film of him committing criminal offences earlier inhis life. At the end he gets found and put in prison.

2 minute sequence:

Shot at the funeral, we see the family and friends gathered by the grave, but

are unaware of who is dead. We then cut to man walking past who stopsand takes a picture of woman crying on his phone, then he walks into abusy street.

Subgenre: Psychological, Horror, CriminalLocation: In the kitchen of an all white apartment (in a city)Character: Artist (costume: dark coloured Hoodie, casually dressed,

middle-aged)Props: A piece of meat, red paint, paint brushesMain plot: An unpopular artist is really depressed because he is not getting

any good critics for his artwork, so he is killing and takes humanbody-parts to make his sculptures more realistic and to gain betterviews about his work.

2 minute sequence:We see the sequence from the main characters perspective, we don’t seehis face. We see him washing mainly red colour paint off his hands in a

kitchen sink and then it cuts to him chopping off a piece of meat on awooden board. We can hear the sound of the knife banging on the woodenboard. In the end we see him from his perspective, walking pass, while he isholding a meat in his hands with a heavy sound of his breathing.

Subgenre: Criminal, PsychologicalLocation: In a dark living-room with low key lightingCharacter: A middle-aged man (body language: crouching in a

small corner of the room)

Props: ComputerMain plot: The character is killing women and is taking hisvictim’s jewellery to sell it on eBay.

2 minute sequence:The first shot is an over the shoulder shot, him typing on a computer. Wecan hear the fast sound of him clicking on the keyboard. The backgrounddiegetic-sound is the radio, playing the music. Then it starts to play the

news. He gets really nervous, when he heard the news. His typing-speedslows down. The last shot focus on his screen and the audience can seewhat he is doing on eBay.
