sleep to grow, but quality sleep forms an integral part of child growth! The wall murals in the nursery provides a calming environment, as these little ones require peace and quiet.

Similarly, the ceiling is covered with glow-in-the dark stars paper, to make diapering a thing to look forward to!

Midi-Miniz ( from 12 month old)The “Farm” theme wall murals were chosen for this group as they are still learning and familiarizing themselves with the world and/or environment around them. These are animals that they may see on a daily basis, which they can identify with.

The murals also introduces the first five letters of the alphabet, the common vowels, first five numbers and the basic shapes, to introduce language and maths as they relate to the five areas of our curriculum.

These are the foundations of learning – experiential learning!

Maxiz (from 3½ years old)At this age group, kids have matured and moved on from farm animals, to something more adventurous, hence the wild-life theme wall murals.

The shapes on the wall have also moved from basic to multi sided shapes, the numbers have increased from 5 to 10, and the alphabet can be fully recited from A to Z, with meaning attached to each letter!

Strengthening of fine motor skills, especially in holding a pen and writing/coloring take place here, and introduction of foundation phase learning also takes place, making this room the only class with a white board for broader explanation of concepts!
