Biblical Counseling If you or someone you know would benefit from Biblical Counseling, please call the church office at (936) 582-1977.

Benevolence If you would like to help meet the needs within our body for those who are experiencing financial difficulties, please indicate “benevolence” with your contribution. If you are aware of any specific benevolence needs within the body please contact the following Deacons;  Steve Dwyer, Donald Avery, or Mark Sanderson.

LBC Kids Ministry We have some key volunteer needs in the LBC Kids Ministry that we need your help with! Please prayerfully consider jumping in to care for and shepherd the souls of all these children God has brought to Lakeside. If you are interested in helping, please contact the Church Office. Here is a list of our specific needs:

- 5 Teams of two for Toddler Care (18 months - 3 years of age) -  Once every 5 weeks during Worship Service

- 1 Teaching Team of two for Preschool (3 & 4 year olds) -  Once every 5 weeks during Worship Service

- 1 Teaching Teams of two for Children’s Church (1st grade) -  Once every 5 weeks during Worship Service

- 5 Teaching Teams of two for Children’s Church (2nd grade) -  Once every 5 weeks during the Worship Service

- 2 People for Toddler Care (18 months - 3 years of age) -  Once a month on Wednesday Nights

Gulf Coast Blood Drive We will be hosting the Gulf Coast Blood Drive here at LBC on Saturday, September 19th from 8:30am to 1:00pm.

September 18-19 Lakeside Bible Church | 7:00PM-10:00AM

All Junior High and High School Students are invited to join us at DNOW!  This year, we’ll be deviating slightly from our normal DNOW routine to spend focused time separately with the guys & the girls.   As we come alongside the parents of Lakeside to help speak truth into the lives of these students, we desire to help the students see how specifically and helpfully the Bible applies to all areas of their lives. We will be taking this opportunity to spend focused time with guys and girls separately to look at what God’s Word has to say about being a godly man and a godly woman.  In our day and age where there is such confusion on gender and the roles God has created us to fill, we want God’s Word to shine forth and light the way for these students to see how God wants them to walk to honor Him!

All students will meet at the church at 7pm on Friday night, September 18th and will stay overnight at host homes where the students will be picked up at 10am the following morning.  This event is free(!), and a Lakeside Bible Church permission slip is required.

Students need to bring everything they’ll need to stay overnight (including a sleeping bag/pillow), wear comfortable clothes, bring appropriate swimming attire and bring, most importantly, their Bible. If you have any further questions, please get in touch with Billy!

This year we will be going through a new discipleship resource entitled Partners. This study is designed to get you personally connected on a weekly basis with other mature, growing Christians in order to help you advance in your understanding and application of ten biblical themes that are critically important in the Christian life.

Each chapter in the Partners workbook will serve as the basis for your weekly small group meetings. The chapters will direct you to read sections of the Bible that relate to that week’s topic and prompt you to answer specific questions about the implications/application of those verses.

Then, when meeting with your group, you will discuss the truths you have studied, seek to sharpen your understanding and grow in your devotion to Jesus Christ. Books are now available in the Resource Center for $10. Please sign up on the back table if you plan to attend.

Worship Music with lyrics directly from the Bible! These songs focus on the attributes of God's character that encourage us to trust Him as our source of everything we need.

Bible verses set to music are an effective method to learn God's Word in a way that is easier to remember than just reading it. Listening to Seeds Songs also creates wonderful opportunity to comfortably initiate teaching moments about The Bible verses in each song. We pray that these songs are an awesome and powerful way to experience God's Word. We hope these songs will inspire your family to worship Jesus and sing out loud in praise to God and His holy character!
