Item 338-22 – Yarmouth NS 1788 – 1788, favoured family letter from Yarmouth to the North Yarmouth in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts New England, endorsed by favor by Capt Witlet and carried by private ship to Boston. The Post Office in Yarmouth opened in 1806. $600.00

1788 is the year Massachusetts ratified the US Constitution and became the 6th state.
