As you are aware, the Archdiocese of Toronto has stated that churches can now open for Mass. We will have our first Mass the weekend of June 21/22 at our usual Mass times (Saturday Vigil at 5 pm, Sunday at 9:00 am, 10:45 am and 12:30 pm). Weekday Masses will also resume at the usual times. Also, to ensure compliance with the mandated 30% capacity for each Mass, we have set up a Mass Reservation system. To reserve your seats for your preferred Mass: 1. On the parish app. Tap on the icon “Mass Sign Up” . Each family member requires a ticket. 2. On Our Lady Queen of the World Facebook page 3. On our Website (www.olqw.com) 4. By calling the Parish Office (905) 884-7006 Ext. 24 Please remember to follow these health and safety guidelines to protect yourself and others: • Wash your hands with soap and water before leaving for Mass. • Wear a mask or face covering (highly recommended). • There will be only one entrance to the church. Please look for and obey all signs and markings to ensure physical distancing of 2 metres (6 feet). • Sanitize your hands upon entry. • Please follow the direction provided by ushers/volunteers for seating. • Please do not enter the church if you have a temperature, feel ill, or have been in contact with a COVID-19 positive individual over the past 2 weeks. • Watch this video from the Archdiocese: “Returning to Mass” Every reasonable precaution has been taken to protect everyone’s health and safety. However, there can be no guarantees of complete protection as there will always be risks of contracting viral infection through large gatherings. There is to be no singing or talking during Mass in order to reduce the risk of droplets that could be spread the virus from person to person. Once the church reaches the 30% capacity required for physical distancing compliance, no one else should enter the church. People who arrive after that time and who do not have a reservation can try to attend another mass time. The Mass will also be livestreamed so that we can reach as many of our faithful as possible. These are certainly unusual times. It will take time to adjust to all the guidelines but we must, in order to protect each other’s health and safety. We are looking forward to seeing you again, albeit under these new conditions. We pray for you and your families as you also establish your social circles and social gatherings and adjust to these changing times. God Bless you! – The OLQW Pastoral Team Thank you Fr. Michel & Fr. Jojo Throughout the pandemic, Fr. Michel and Fr. Jojo have been celebrating daily Mass for the intentions of all parishioners. Congratulations Fr. Jim! Fr. Michel’s Words of Inspiration My dear brothers and sisters, what we do in the Church we do out of love for God and out of love for each other. At this time of uncertainty, God is calling us to seek Him with all our hearts and to serve Him with all our lives. He is especially calling us to trust in His providence. We are peope of hope not of fear. “Be not afraid” the angel said to Mary. Our Lord Jesus also said this to his disciples. These words are also spoken to us during these difficult times. Knights plant seeds of hopeOur OLQW Knights of Columbus teamed up with Knights from St. David’s to till the soil and plant a lovely vegetable garden. This will provide many healthy meals this Fall for the residents of Rose of Sharon in Newmarket. Well done, gentlemen!

Knight in Shining ArmourOLQW Knight of Columbus Stephan Bourassa and his wife Christina have been collecting food and other goods for the Richmond Hill Community Food Bank. They have collected donations from businesses, neighbours, friends, clients and parishioners and delivered them to the Food Bank. Stephan also became an official volunteer for the Food bank due to the urgent need in this time of crisis. Awesome work Team Bourassa!

The Angel Behind the MasksThank You, Daisy Fisher, for making face masks and personally delivering them, to help keep our parishioners safe and healthy during this difficult time.

Tommy the handy manThank You, Tommy Cheng, for touching up the black railing at the outdoor shrine to Mother Mary. Great job!

We gathered virtually every Wednesday evening in May and the first half of June to pray the Devotion to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and the Rosary together with Pope Francis’ prayers to Mary for healing during the Pandemic. Thanks to our wonderful parish family for uniting together in friendship and faith.

Our use of video conferencing technology has enabled us to keep many of our ministries active during this challenging time, including: Bible Study, Confirmation, Fellowship, First Communion, RCIA, Staff and School meetings and Young at Heart. Thank you everyone for using your creativity and teamwork to keep us connected!

Connecting virtually has kept us together spiritually!

At a time like this it can be uncomfortable to talk about giving. Our primary concern is the health and well-being of our parishioners. However, these difficult circumstances show just how important the offertory is to the life of our parish. The reality is that our parish relies on your generosity to operate and pay our bills.

There are several ways that you can continue to support the parish.

In person: If you are able to attend our reduced capacity weekend Masses, place your offering in the collection basket when leaving the church after Mass.

Mail your regular weekly offertory contribution to the parish office: 10411BayviewAvenue,RichmondHill,ONL4C3P2

Credit card: click here Pre-Authorized Giving: click here

On-line Banking: To do this, we need to send you your unique account number. Please e-mail [email protected]. In the body of the email provide your name, address, parish name and municipality. You will receive a reply with your account information which you can use to set up the Archdiocese of Toronto as a payee in your on-line banking. Your gift will be forwarded to our parish.

Thank you for continuing to support us during these challenging times for all.
