READINGS FOR NEXT WEEKEND APRIL 30, 2017
Acts 2:14, 22-33; 1 Pt 1:17-21; Lk 24:13-35 Reflection Adults: In today’s Gospel ,we are told about two of Jesus’ disciples that Jesus appeared to after His Resurrection, who did not recognize Him until He began to break and bless the Bread. Is that true for us too? We have heard about Jesus and read about everything He accomplished while here on earth, but somehow we don’t actually know Him. Jesus I want to know you, not just know about you. Help me Lord to take the time to recognize and hear you in my life. Children: After Jesus’ Resurrection He wanted His friends to really know and understand all He was about. He knew it would take time. Jesus uncovered His identity a little at a time. He did this so His friends would be able to truly know Him. Jesus loves us so much and wants US to do more than listen to stories about Him. He wants us to spend time with Him and know Him.
Grant Us Your Salvation! SPRING OPEN HOUSE SUNDAY, APRIL 30, 2017 AT 1PM
MOLLOY COLLEGE ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY For more information call (516) 323-4000 YOU CAN MAKE
A DIFFERENCE ... Just a reminder, we still have food cer-tificates available for our local supermarkets. Food certificates are the same as gift certificates, only they are for the supermarkets. We have them for Key Food, King Kullen, Best Market, Stop & Shop, Cross Island Fruits and CVS. Since you have to eat and feed your family, why not help your parish at the same time? It’s an even exchange. If you give us $100, we give you $100 in food certificates. They actually come in denominations from $5 up to $100. Spend whatever you wish. In turn, the supermarket will give us a 5% rebate. We have approximately 2,500 families in our parish. Can you imagine, if each family in our parish used these cer-tificates on a regular basis to do their food shopping, what the revenue could be? Our parish will receive 5% of the total amount of certificates you use. They don’t cost you anything more than what you would have spent at the store. You can get them at the Rectory, Monday through Friday from 9:30AM to 4:30PM and 6PM to 9PM. On Satur-day from 9:30M to 5:00PM and on Sundays, before or after you go to Mass from 9AM to 1PM. When purchasing them from the Rectory, you must pay by check only. They are also available during school hours at OLP School, which will ac-cept cash or check.
