Kneeling is an attitude of adoration to Our Lord. It is appropriate

to kneel upon entering the Church for a few minutes of prayer and

reflection. During Mass we kneel after the “Holy, Holy, Holy” for the

Eucharistic prayer and again after the “Lamb of God” in preparation

for Holy Communion. We should also kneel upon returning from

receiving Communion until the celebrant sits. People with physical

challenges may remain seated throughout.

El hincarse es una actitud de adoración a Nuestro Señor. Es

apropiado hincarse por unos minutos de oración y reflexión al entrar a

la Iglesia. En la Misa nos hincamos después del “Santo, Santo, Santo”

durante la Plegaria Eucarística y después del “Cordero de Dios” en

preparación para la Sagrada Comunión. También nos hincamos al

Holy Water We bless ourselves with baptismal water upon

entering the Church to remind ourselves of our baptism and we are

now going to do holy things. Parishioners may bring containers to

take baptismal water home with them for blessings.

Walk for Life West Coast 2018: Join fellow Catholics and Pro‐Lifers from all over California and beyond as we stand up for the littlest among us at the 14th Annual Walk for Life West Coast in San Francisco on January 27, 2018.
