On December 6, the Feast of St. Nicholas, the 3rd-8th graders had the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. One of the priests who helped out is Fr. Carl, the Chaplain at our Motherhouse. It was the first time Father had met any of our OLG children. After Mass this past Sunday, Fr. Carl shared that he was delighted at how very well prepared the children were for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. He spoke of how evident the impact of their Catholic education was and he emphasized how very respectful they were. Thank you, Fr. Carl, for not only noticing what wonderful students we have, but for taking the time to share your impressions. Thank you teachers, staff and families for helping to raise our beautiful, God-gifted children! What better way to prepare for our Savior's birth, than to continue the focused, high quality work of Catholic education both in school and in homes. We'll have a great opportunity to see these children in action at our Christmas Pageant, Ornaments and Heirlooms, this Thursday in the Parish Center. Please have your children at school by 6:30pm. The door to the Parish Center will open at that time. After the program, as the children return to their classrooms, will some of you who can, please help us put away the 300+ chairs and the bleachers and risers? Mr. Thomas and Mr. Sam will help coordinate these efforts. May this time of Emmanuel, our God-with-us, be a powerful reality in your life and touch each and every family member! Merry Christmas and a Blessed 2017! In God's CHRISTMAS PEACE, S. Janice Therese, O.P.

Holiday greetings to OLG Staff and Families, On January 2nd Belinda, Samantha and I will relocate to Southaven, Mississippi. It was a very difficult decision to uproot our little family and move so far from our families, friends and OLG. We do however feel this is a very good opportunity for us. On behalf of the Aranda Family I would like to say thank you! Thank you to all of the OLG Staff for their dedication to OLG, passion for teaching, mentoring, and for caring! From everyday classroom learning to dancersDivine, Spring Musicals, CYO Sports, Tutoring, Camp Coloma, you have all made a great difference in Samantha’s life. I am sure she will remember and cherish the past six years at OLG throughout her lifetime. Also a great big thank you to the many awesome and caring OLG parents and families we have had the pleasure meeting and have become friends with. Samantha has made so many great memories and friends. I hope and will always encourage her to stay in touch with each of them. When we began looking for a school for Samantha, OLG felt like home from our very first visit. God bless you all and have a very Merry Christmas! Warm regards, Vince, Belinda and Samantha Aranda
