• Usually involves a group of people growing on the same piece of land either separately or communally

• Happens in a range of different ways: allotments, community gardens, landshare, community orchards, community supported agriculture, workplace growing, edible landscapes…

• Happens in a range of locations: sites designated for growing, school grounds, backgreens, housing estates, temporary greenspaces….
