Tell Them From Me Parent Survey
A reminder that we
need to hear from
you! Your feedback is
valued and
appreciated. Please
take the time to
complete the Partners in Learning parent survey, it will
only take about 10-15 minutes. We are aiming for 30%
of our families to participate in this survey. This equates
to 114 responses. We currently have 24, only another
90 to go!!!
You can access the survey at the following link

Kinder Zoo Day
Unfortunately, the much-anticipated Kinder Zoo
excursion was cancelled this year due to COVID.
However, last week we
held a Zoo Day experience
here at school, it was a
fantastic day enjoyed by
everyone involved. Thank
you to Mrs Bryant for all of
her organisation to make
this a fun, memorable day
for our Kinder students.
Transition to School 2021
Unfortunately, at this point in time Transition to
School programs are still on hold. I am awaiting
updated guidelines for Term 4 but given the fact that
these have not come through yet we have decided to
push back our Let’s Connect program by three weeks.
Should we be able to move ahead with Transition to
School Programs next term we have decided that Let’s
Connect will now run in Weeks 5-9 starting on
Wednesday 11th November. More information will be
sent out to Kindergarten 2021 families at the start of
next term. Please visit our virtual transition space at
https://sites.google.com/view/
cudgegongvalleykindergarten21/home
where we are continually updating resources to support
you and your child as they transition to school.
Sports Carnivals
Last Friday we held the second Athletics Carnival Day.
Congratulations to all students who competed in field
events on Friday. This Wednesday morning our Cross
Country Carnival will be held, students are encouraged
to wear their house colours or sports uniform. All
students will participate on Wednesday in an age-based
course throughout the morning.
Holidays and return to school
It has been a great term full of learning and achievement, this Friday is the last day of Term 3. On behalf of all of the CVPS school
community I would like to wish all our families a safe, relaxing and enjoyable two week break. Staff and students return to school for Term 4 on Monday 12th October. Please note there is NO Staff Development Day at the start of term 4. All students will return in summer uniform next term. Have a great break and I look forward to seeing everyone next term! Ooshies Trading Session Today our School Councillors hosted an Ooshie Trading Session during lunchtime. It was a great success, with lots of students attending to trade their Ooshies even Mr Lindsay and Mrs Neaverson-Smith. Well done to our dedicated School Councillors for organising and supervising this event for everyone to enjoy. 2020 has been a challenging time for our school leaders and any opportunity to lead the school and provide student voice is invaluable in their development as people and leaders.
Crazy Hair and Colourful Clothes Day! A reminder about our upcoming PBL whole school Term 3 reward this week, Thursday 24th September. Crazy Hair and Colourful Clothes Day, students can come wearing their colourful clothes and crazy hair, a reminder that sensible clothing must be worn as well as enclosed shoes.

Library News Book Club Thank you to all families who purchased out of Issue 6. All Book Club orders were handed out on Friday from Issue 6. There were a couple which are on back order and should be here early next term. Book Fair Our Book Fair is running from Tuesday 13th October - Wednesday 21st October. There will be a lot of different items and packages available for sale, as well as posters and funky stationary
items. Items will start from around $2 and go up from there. I will be sending wish lists home with students for parents to have some ideas about what their child found and liked. If you wish to purchase, you can send cash in, pay with EFTPOS at the office, or fill in the credit card details on the back of the WISH form. Most items can be bought on the spot and taken
home, though if it's the last item, it will need to be ordered and handed to the student when it arrives. More information is coming. Book Week and Parade During Term 4, we will be celebrating Book Week and the CBCA Shortlisted Books. There is going to be some in class competitions held, as well as a colouring in competition being sent home this week. If your child wishes to enter, please make sure it is handed back by Tuesday 13th October (Week 1, Term 4). There will be one winner per year. Book Parade will be held on Friday 23rd October. Start thinking of dress-up ideas to do with books. Thank you, Mrs Bryant

Kinder Zoo Day
Last Wednesday Kindergarten had their Zoo Day. The
students enjoyed taking their own passport and binocu-
lars and going on an animal scavenger hunt, having
their photos taken in the safari jeep and the giraffe, tak-
ing part in a collaborative zoo colouring in, moving like
the animals and taking part in life cycle and African Ani-
mal webinars courtesy of Melbourne Zoo. We all had a
wonderful time!!
