The multilateral partnership projects give a possibility to know about different cultures, to meet new people and find new friends.

Lithuania is a small country on the shore of the Baltic Sea. Its territory extends 373 km from the East to the West and 276 km from the North to the South.

More than a half of Lithuania’s land is suitable for agriculture. About one third of our land area is occupied by forests. Lithuania is commonly called the Land of Rivers and Lakes

Lithuania has a history of more than 1000 years long.

There were four historical capitals in Lithuania.

Now the capital of Lithuania is Vilnius.

St. Anne’s Church is a true Gothic marvel.Vilnius University was the first higher education school in the whole Eastern Europe in the 16th century.

Lithuania is divided into five regions.

We come from Lithunia Minor.

When Lithuania Great was ruled by Russia, Lithuania Minor was the heartland of the Lithuanian culture.

One of the national parks of Lithuania is the Curonian Spit.

Klaipėda is a city in the west of Lithuania, situated on the shore of the Baltic Sea.

Šilutė is a town in the Klaipėda Region and the ethnographic part of Lithuania Minor.

We live in Katyčiai, a small village situated 30 km from Šilutė.

The Šyša river flows through Katyčiai.

The name of our school is Katyčiai Basic School of Šilutė Region.

There are 10 forms in Katyčiai Basic School. The age of students is from 6 to 16 years old.

The school year starts on September 1 and ends up in early June.

A big attention is paid to sports at our school.

We don‘t wear uniforms at our school. Some of the students have free lunch.Many students are taken to school by school

bus every day.

Our school is very cosy and decorated with the students‘ drawings, decorations and many various flowers
