Golden’eers Conference - The Fall Golden’eers Conference will be September 9-11 at Parchment Valley. This conference is for adults who are at least 55 years of age. Spiritual Growth Retreat - Ladies...SAVE THE DATE! The American Baptist Women of West Virginia are hosting the Spiritual Growth Retreat Sept. 20-22 at Parchment Valley Conference Center in Ripley. Join us for a Coffee Shop Experience with the theme of "In The Quiet", where you will learn to "be still" and hear God speak to you. Mountain State Mission Offering - During the month of August, EBC takes part in the Mountain State Mission Offering. 100% of the Mountain State Mission Offering supports the mission and ministries of the West Virginia Baptist Convention.

Latrobe Street Mission - Next Sunday, August 18, there will be a guest speaker from Latrobe Street Mission followed by a mission lunch.

School Supplies - The WV Central FCU is sponsoring "Stuff The Bus" to collect school supplies for Wood County Schools. This year we are supporting this effort to reach the schools in our communities. You may bring your school supplies to the church and we will deliver them for you. We are also collecting antibacterial hand soap for McKinley.

Chancel Choir - Choir practice will resume this Wednesday, August 14 at 6:00 p.m. See Pam McClain if you are interested in joining the Choir.

First Fruits Table - You are invited to leave something from your garden and/or take something left by someone else at our table in the new narthex.

Life Line Screening - Life Line Screening will offer a preventive health event at Emmanuel Baptist Church on August 22. Call 1-800-653-6450 to register.

College Student Addresses - Please provide the church office with an address for your college students. We rotate their names and addresses in the bulletin each week reminding people to pray, send packages, etc. You may email your student’s address to [email protected] or call the Church Office at 304-485-5171. If you would like to provide a picture of your student, we will show it during the Sunday morning service the week that their name is in the bulletin.

Church Picnic - The Church Picnic will be on Sunday, September 8 at 5:00 p.m. at the City Park main shelter #1. This year we will have a dunking booth, a bouncy house and we are looking to borrow a karaoke machine. Please contact Maria Keen at 304-615-1782 if you have one or can borrow one for the day. Those with last names that begin with A-F bring desserts; G-M bring salads; and N-Z bring vegetables. NOTE: Drink donations will be accepted over the next few weeks.

On-Line Giving - Emmanuel uses a new on-line giving platform called Pushpay. You can find the Pushpay giving option on our website (www.ebcwv.com). Click on “Give” in the header and find the link. You can also get to the Pushpay platform by texting “Give EBC” to 77977. If you give to Emmanuel on-line or by bank draft, a giving card can be found in the sanctuary pew rack that you can use during our church offerings.

Pictorial Directory - There are updated pictorial directories in the narthex. If you have a 2017 directory, only take the insert that goes in the back. If you do not have a 2017 pictorial directory, you may take the full directory.
