Pelajar OUM juga perlu membuat tugasan yang memakanmasa kerana terpaksa mencari bahan-bahan yang diperlukan.
Bahan tugasan kebanyakannya dapat diperolehi dalamPerpustakaan digital.
Tugasan perlu disiapkan dengan menggunakan MicrosoftWord dan perlu dihantar secara online dalam tempoh sebulan
Selepas itu mereka juga perlu menduduki peperiksaan. Perkara ini berulang untuk 3 semester setahun sehinggatamat pengajian.
Sudah tentu pelajar OUM banyak menghadapi cabaran danmemerlukan motivasi diri yang tinggi untuk mencapaiobjektif mereka untuk mendapat sekeping ijazah

Untuk kekal bermotivasi, pelajar OUM boleh mengambiltindakan berikut:
a) Tetapkan sasaran pembelajaran yang mencabar tapi realistik.
Pastikan apakah sasaran pembelajaran anda denganberdasarkan kepada fakta, konsep atau idea anda. Sasaran yang realistik akan dapat memotivasikan andauntuk mencapainya
b) Pecahkan taska pembelajaran yang besar
Taska besar yang mencabar bila dipecahkan menjadi kecil adalah mudah untuk anda menguruskannya
c) Sentiasa berfikiran positif
Sesuatu yang sukar itu anggap sebagai cabaran danDugaan. Jadikannya sebagai suatu peluang untukmelakukan sesuatu yang baru
d) Sasarkan sesuatu yang lebih tinggi
Bila anda telah mencapais esuatu sasaran, wujudkanSesuatu sasaran yang lebih tinggi supaya mencabarkebolehan dan kemampuan anda
e) Gunakan kaedah pembelajaran yang aktif
