The vegetable raw materials used to make the perfumes come from flowers, fruits and other

vegetable materials such as wood bark (sandalwood, cinnamon, cedar, guaiac, birch), resin (myrrh, labdanum, bejoin, incense) , mosses, plants, leaves, roots and seeds. Rose is one of the most noble raw materials in the design of a perfume. Its good natural scent and beauty is much appreciated. Its intense, sweet, suave smell symbolizes love and passion. In perfumery, we use the Centifolia rose and the May rose. These roses which are part of the flowering family, come from Morocco and France. When the roses are extracted

by volatile solvents, we obtain the concrete and the absolute of rose which give the sensation of hot, honey, wax, spices and slightly tobacco. At the same time, it is the Damascena rose petals that are grown in Bulgaria and Turkey that distill rose essential oil. This derivative of rose gives off a smell of fruit and lemon freshly more intense than the absolute because of the evaporation of most of its light compounds, while the absolute of rose keeps the heaviest compounds, such as wax , in solvent extraction. The perfumes with roses give off a natural freshness in harmony very appreciated by women.

For perfumers, sandalwood is an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Sandalwood is mainly used in men’s perfumes. Recently, however, he has been gently intruding on feminine fragrances. The sandalwood has a woody, but extremely sweet smell. This is why it goes wonderfully well with a lot of fragrances. The sensual, but greedy side of sandalwood goes very well with rose, ylang-ylang, jasmine, lily of the valley, cinnamon, vanilla, musk, vetiver, tonka bean, or citrus. Sandalwood is considered a precious, rich and beautiful wood. Associated with antiquity and for life, it carries many symbols. Often used as a base note, sandalwood was initially a masculine fragrance. Since the 90s, the creators have tried to use it for women’s perfumes, a great success! It accompanies very nicely the copper, woody, powdery notes or even the floral top notes. For creators, sandalwood is an inexhaustible source of inspiration.
