Otter Athletics Fund What is the Otter Athletics Fund?The Otter Athletics Fund is the fundraising arm of Cal State Monterey Bay Athletics. The goal is to raise private funds to support a first class academic and athletic experience for CSUMB student-athletes.

What will my investment in the Otter Athletics Fund support?All gifts to the Otter Athletics Fund will directly impact current student-athletes in the form of scholarships and sport specific program enhancements such as travel, equipment, training and technology.

Is my gift tax deductible?Your gift to the Otter Athletics Fund is tax-deductible as regulated by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The Otter Athletics Fund operates under the Foundation of CSUMB, and you will receive a gift receipt that directly reflects your investment. Please consult with your tax advisor for further details.

It’s truly an honor and privilege to lead and serve our outstanding student-athletes and coaches at Cal State Monterey Bay.

Together, we are dedicated to achieving excellence in the classroom, in competition and in community service.

Despite being the youngest NCAA Division II institution in the nation, Otter Athletics has established the foundation of an impressive legacy since joining the NCAA, highlighted by our 2011 National Championship in men’s golf.

As we reflect on our recent accomplishments and prepare for future success, we often hear the thoughtful question from people asking how they can get involved and support our student-athletes.

In response, we have established the Otter Athletics Fund to make an immediate impact on our student-athletes’ experience and build a base of private financial support for Otter Athletics. When you invest in Cal State Monterey Bay Athletics, you will directly impact our student-athletes’ opportunity for success through scholarship support and sport specific program enhancements (travel, equipment, training and technology).

You’re invited to join us in raising $50,000 in our founding year of the Otter Athletics Fund to support our deserving student-athletes.

You’ll receive benefits based on the level of your investment or you can choose to waive your benefits, allowing 100% of your gift to be tax-deductible. You may also choose to restrict your gift to a specific team.
