See a few nests and discover why so many eagles call the marsh home. GREAT BACKYARD BIRD COUNT Observe the birds from the wildlife window and visitor center and help sciensts get a snapshot of global bird populaons. Data shared at birdcount.org MONTHLY BIRD SURVEYS Join a refuge volunteer and become a community scienst the first Sunday of each month at 8:00 am. Bring your binoculars and dress for the weather. Meet at the trailhead parking area. PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB Join friends group members the second Saturday of each month for excing opportunies to view wildlife and photograph the refuge. CHILI COOK-OFF & WILDLIFE TOURS Join us for chili and charm; discover some of the best chili in NW Ohio aſter enjoying a free bus tour of the refuge. Chili Judging begins at noon. (Charm provided by wildlife, not the tour guide) THE OWLS OF OHIO Can you name the different owls of Ohio? Come and learn all about the different owl species who make the Buckeye state their home year round and those who migrate to Ohio in only the winter. Self-taught, Missouri Master Naturalist, Brenda Hente will be here to share her knowledge and passion of owls during this excing presentaon. Great videos, photos and stories of owls will be shared to help the audience learn all about these fascinang raptors of the night sky. An owl prowl will follow aſter the presentaon. *FAMILY FUN DAY* Enjoy me with friends and family during these family oriented refuge events. Topics vary each month and may include acvies, arts and craſts, guided hikes and more. March 2nd: Lorax DayJUNIOR DUCK STAMP Join youth from around the country in celebrang conservaon and submit a piece of art to this annual art contest. Entries are due March 1st.
