Under the assistance of Collin Krikke, Computer 1 students in Middle School took apart old computers to look at the different components and video taped each other explaining how each piece functioned. They were able to relate how each computer piece reflected a part of the human body. Students also went online and designed their own computer, picking out each different piece from the processor to the case.
An Important Note from the
Guidance Office…...
Wednesday, October 11: 9th—11th graders w ill be taking the PSAT/NMSQT
which measures skills that are important for success in college – verbal reasoning,
math problem-solving, and writing. Taking the PSAT/NMSQT enables students to
practice for the SAT, seek information from colleges, get feedback about critical
academic skills, and enter scholarship competitions.
This test is most crucial as it is the only avenue in which a student can later become a
National Merit Finalist. The cost for this test is $16. Each student will
be receiving a PSAT/NMSQT Student/Parent Bulletin for more information and to
better prepare your student for this test.
In order to ensure each student will have the opportunity to take these important tests, each student is automatically registered and the fee will be reflected in your next tuition statement. If you would rather your student not participate in testing day, please notify Mrs. Cunard at 792-5454, ext. 118 or [email protected] no later than Wednesday, October 4.
