What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a highly effective, gentle therapy that addresses pain and dysfunction of the body. Osteopaths work on the premise that restoring normal structure and gaining optimum function will result in freedom from pain and disability. We recognize that dysfunction in one area can cause remote symptoms and we are highly skilled at finding the real cause of your pain.

It's a simple case of trying to restore the optimum state within our bodies and recognizing that the body has an inherent ability to heal. Thus, we nudge it in the right direction and let nature take it's course. Considerable research over the years has proven that the basic Osteopathic Principles are not only sound, but highly effective.

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is part of an integrated system of primary health care developed in China known as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Its history and development dates back at least five thousand years, which makes it one of the oldest traditional medicine systems being used in the world today. Acupuncture has become an increasingly popular form of traditional treatment in the west and in England has achieved wide-spread acceptance as an effective and reliable form of health care. Qualified practitioners of acupuncture treat many health issues, based on a coherent and substantial body of knowledge developed over thousands of years of clinical practice and intellectual endeavor. Modern clinical research adds to this traditional knowledge.

Since 1979 acupuncture has had formal recognition by the World Health Organization for successfully treating a wide range of health conditions.
