    Dr. Ronald M. Roncone

    received his undergrad-

    uate degree at

    Marquette University

    and pursued graduate study in physiology and

    neuroanatomy at Marquette University School of

    Medicine, while simultaneously obtaining his dental

    degree at the same university. He obtained two

    postdoctoral certificates from Harvard School of

    Dental Medicine and The Forsyth Dental Center.

    Dr. Roncone practices orthodontics in San Diego

    County, California. He has specialized in adult

    treatment (aesthetics, surgical and TMD) as well as

    "early" treatment for children. While teaching over

    500 seminars worldwide, he has been responsible for

    a large number of innovations in the practice of

    orthodontics, including long intervals between

    patient appointments (8-12 weeks) which he began

    in 1989 through the use of titanium wires, as well as

    the development of a unique prescription for bands

    and brackets. He is widely known among

    orthodontists as the "Guru of Marketing".

    The JSOPcourse is a comprehensive personalized program. This program consists of three, four-day groupmeetings that are held at Dr. Roncones office and lecture facility in Vista, California. An in-depth analysis of

    your practice is completed prior to the first session. This is done so each participants situation can be

    individually assessed. The format spans a year, providing the opportunity to implement and refine new ideas

    in your practice. Your individual practice analysis enables us to develop solutions to problems that are

    specific to your practice. The ongoing benefit of this is the close associations that naturally evolve, as you

    work with other orthodontists whose problems may be very similar to yours. This is the start of the

    Orthobarbarian Study Club which meets annually for updates and sharing results. We've achieved something

    unique in the orthodontic profession and welcome your inquiries to determine if JSOP is right for you.

    The course is designed to promote the following areas:

    Planning

    You will develop a written mission statement, budget, and the strategic plan to meet your goals. Financial,

    organizational, marketing, and operation planning will be accomplished in step-by-step detail to establish aclear direction for your practice. A practice plan will be completed by each participant with the assistance

    of our staff. Planning seems to be a glaring weakness in a majority of practices. We will show you how plan-

    ning will create revenue and reduce overhead.

    Systems

    There should be a system for everything. Systems allow for continuity, consistency, and ease of training.

    There should be an established way of performing each procedure in the office. There should be no differ-

    ence in how things are done from one staff member to another. Systems will be presented for enrolling

    patients, diagnostics and treatment planning, clinical, marketing, financial and of course, ongoing planning

    and metrics will be presented in detail.

    ProfitabilityWithout profitability there can be no excellence. We will assist you in establishing not only a very high gross-

    ing practice but achieving one that is highly profitable. A comprehensive, individualized plan will be given to

    you concerning fees, collections, payables etc. The goal is to reduce overhead to 40% or lower. This is pos-

    sible and we will show you how.

    Communications

    The great lost art of listening to the patient/parent from the very first contact until dismissal will be demonstrat-

    ed. It is in this area that great practices differ from the average. It is all about great communication not

    only with patient/parents but also with team members, referral sources and vendors.

    Marketing

    You will develop your own individual marketing plan. Since revenue is the driver behind marketing, this planwill focus on how to increase the top line. This plan is not just a collection of fun, promotional ideas but a

    strategy to increase and grow your practice. We demonstrate how to measure exact return on investment

    for each marketing activity and the revenue that it will generate.

    Training

    You will be given tools to develop a smooth and efficient operation without turning your staff into robots.

    Absolute consistency along with speed will be the goal. We will show you how to incorporate training into

    your day to day operations. This will guarantee that proper training is accomplished without any downtime.

    Productivity

    Efforts without results are meaningless. We will give you a template on how to measure results for each staff
