What is the VisitingCoaches Luncheon Series?

The TCU Fast Break Club and TCU Head Coach NeilDougherty will be hosting the 4th Annual VisitingCoaches Luncheon Series. The series consists of basket-ball coaches and college hoops experts who will be fea-tured speakers throughout the 2006-07 season. Theseries is sponsored by Nolan and Prakong Brawley as wellas Kidwill Investments, Inc.

Dougherty and each of the visiting coaches will speakfollowing lunch, which will be catered by Michael’sRestaurant. “The Voice of the Frogs” Brian Estridge willserve as emcee. All luncheons are one hour and will beheld in TCU’s Dee J. Kelly Alumni & Visitors Center.Reservations are required for each of the nine events.

The program is designed to allow TCU fans a chance tohear insight into college hoops from some of the mostrecognizable and knowledgeable names in the coachingprofession. By attending the luncheon, fans have thespecial opportunity to see the coaches up close, heartheir stories and ask them questions in an intimate,relaxed and enjoyable setting.

Over three years, Neil Dougherty has hosted 27 coach-es, including 10 whose teams participated in the NCAATournament that season. The 10 NCAA-bound coachesincluded: Bob Knight (Texas Tech), Rick Pitino(Louisville), Bob Huggins (Cincinnati), John Calipari(Memphis), Bill Self (Kansas), Dave Leitao (DePaul),Bobby Lutz (Charlotte), Kevin Stallings (Vanderbilt),Steve Fisher (San Diego State) and Jeff Bzdelik (AirForce). Other previous speakers include college basket-ball broadcasters Bill Raftery and Fran Fraschilla.

• Is in his fifth season at the helm ofthe Horned Frog program.

• Guided TCU to the NationalInvitation Tournament in 2005, theFrogs’ first postseason tournamentappearance since 1999.

• TCU’s NIT march marked only thethird time the Frogs reached the tourney quarterfi-nals in school history.

• In 2004-05, TCU posted its 11th 20-win season inschool history and the most wins since 1998-99.

• Has faced 15 top-25 schools in 123 games at TCU.

Fran FraschillaESPN - Tuesday, Nov. 7

• Spent 23 years as a college basketballcoach before joining ESPN as an in-game and studio analyst.

• Guided both Manhattan (1993, 1995)and St. John's (1998) to the NCAATournament.

• Served nine seasons as a Division I head coach, whichincluded a stint at MWC rival New Mexico.

Steve McClainWyoming - Wednesday, Feb. 28

• Owns a 140-100 record over eightyears as Wyoming’s head coach.

• Has led the Cowboys to the postsea-son four times and captured back-to-back MWC titles (2001, 2002).

• Served as a TCU assistant coach fourseasons (1995-98).

Steve FisherSan Diego State - Wednesday, Jan. 31• Has amassed a 289-188 record over

15 years as head coach, whichincludes seven at San Diego State.

• Led SDSU to the 2006 MWC regularseason and tournament titles.

• Guided Michigan to the 1989 NCAAtitle and to the championship game in ‘92 and ‘93.

Dale LayerColorado State - Wednesday, Jan. 17

• Enters his seventh season at thehelm of the Rams’ program.

• Led Colorado State to the NCAATournament in 2003, just his thirdseason as head coach.

• Previously spent 10 seasons as thehead coach at Queens University in Charlotte, N.C.
