This morning we heard from the students nominated for School Captains 2019. I congratulate all 19 Year 5 students who presented their speeches this morning. Very well done one and all!! School Captains and Vice-Captains will be announced and inducted at our schools Celebrating Excellence Assembly on Monday 17 December, starting at 9:30am.

Our schools Strategic Direction 2 is ‘Innovative and Informed Learning’.

Two of the processes within this Strategic Direction centre around improved Assessment Practices (The school will embed consistent school-wide practices for assessment that monitor, plan and report on student learning across the curriculum. Teachers will use evidence of learning to inform their teaching, adapt their practice and meet the learning needs of students) and Visible Learning (All learners at CEPS will be provided with effective practices that ensure they have clear instruction on what is expected of them, and what they need to learn from tasks). A tool that we have been using to support our attainment of these processes is SeeSaw. Beside is a representation of data showing the massive take up of SawSaw at our school this year: a massive 10,416 pieces of work added by students including 7 hours of video and voice recordings that document learning and student progress at school! Please ensure that your orders are in by this date as any orders placed after this cannot be guaranteed to arrive before the end of the school year. Positive Behaviour for Learning

Have you heard about Clint Eastie? Have your children talked with you about getting an ‘Eastie’? Has your child talked about the ‘Value of the Week’ at all? Has your child brought home a bronze, silver or gold award? All of the above questions form part of our school introduction to the Positive Behaviour for Learning program this year as part of our schools Strategic Direction 3, ‘Connect, Succeed & Thrive’ . Within this

Strategic Direction, we have a process called Positive Behaviour for Learning (The school will develop a strategic & planned approach to whole school wellbeing processes that support wellbeing through the implementation of Positive Behaviour for Learning). Now that we are approaching the end of the year, and the first year of implementation of this project, we would like to hear your (our community) thoughts on the program so we can improve upon the project as we move into 2019. We ask that you please log on to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SFZZMCD and complete the short, 6 question survey. Your responses will be greatly received! Any questions, please contact Miss Munro (PBL Co-Ordinator) at school.

With thanks, PBL Team

Lynda, Once the newsletter goes on line, can you please copy all the this info about PBL and put it, separate to the newsletter, on FB and the app. This way they will get it twice and a live link to the survey
