…to explore major Renaissance contributions in fields such as architecture, art, astronomy, literature, mathematics, medicine, philosophy and religion.

…to prepare a display board presentation as a group on Major

Developments in the Renaissance. You are to present to others how one particular field of knowledge or advancement was important to the Renaissance. In the description of your field of choice, you need to focus

on key Renaissance Personalities that contributed to that field.

STEP 1 – You will be assigned a field of study. You will be given an opportunity to research your field of study. STEP 2 – Record all necessary information on the retrieval chart that will be provided. These notes will form the basis of your entire project. STEP 3 – Organise your information using the retrieval chart as a guide. This is the planning phase for how you will create your presentation. Design a rough draft before you begin your finished product. STEP 4 – Create your project on a display board. Be sure to bring any materials from home you feel would help your project. The school can provide the basics only. STEP 5 – Set up your display boards in the classroom Gallery Walk. It is during this time that you will have the opportunity to declare why your field of study was the most influential in the Renaissance.

1. Visuals are a vital component of your display. Pictures of faces, artwork, buildings, science, inventions, etc. are absolutely required.

2. Categorise your sections appropriately. Clearly title each section. 3. The main point of this project is to explain your field of study through the

famous personalities that contributed to it. Take the humanistic approach and focus on the individuals!
